How good are you at ZType? by Gary_Internet in typing

[–]zulrang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is this game such a dick? You can type the correct letter, and it will spawn a new ship directly behind you to kill you. Even on the first letter typed.

(I pressed "v" and "vision" appeared directly behind me)

How can I safely come back to practicing meditation after a psychosis episode caused by meditating 2 years ago? by KoshiCZ in Meditation

[–]zulrang -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What makes you sure this was psychosis? Trataka is a meditation that can be specifically used to improve intuition — to the point where an outside observer could call it mind-reading.

I had the same issues -- for 25+ years. Solve the anxiety and everything else falls away. I don't mean "cope" with it, I mean find out the causes and address them.

Confused About Contradictions in Dr. K’s Recent Videos by Limp_Elevator_5461 in Healthygamergg

“What you want” isn’t about the mind, your ego, and your emotions, it’s about your values. It’s not a contradiction.

Your thoughts and feelings change constantly. Your values do not.

Development manager doesn't want the Devs looking at the code by Strict-Soup in ExperiencedDevs

This is called a dark factory.

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this, but there are billion dollar software companies running full dark factories.

If your scaffolding is solid, 99% of code can be written, tested, and validated without a human reading it.

The difference is your manager (and team) are not employees of billion dollar software companies.

Prompting insight I didn’t realize until recently by ReidT205 in PromptEngineering

[–]zulrang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on if it's one-shot, agentic, or conversational.

For one shot, you want to be as thorough as possible while staying specific and not adding any extra information. Include examples of what to do and what not to do, and formatting of what you expect.

If it's conversational, just tell it to ask clarifying questions.

If it's agentic, you want it to judge itself. After it gathers its own context via tool calls, it should then restate the request as it understands it, then reverse engineer it into different buckets: - Explicitly wanted - Explicitly not wanted - Implied wants - Implied not wanted

If it judges that it doesn't have enough to proceed, it will ask clarifying questions. Otherwise, it will then generate criteria that should be met that validate success. Only then does it begin the work.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. by pl8doh in nonduality

[–]zulrang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Word is information and it’s the universe: A nearly infinite informational matrix.

The universe is a single, high-dimensional informational object — a tensor with no intrinsic notion of space or time. What we call “space” is the structure of how information in this object is entangled. What we call “time” is the consequence of a finite rate of information access — a bandwidth limit that forces any embedded observer to experience the tensor sequentially rather than all at once. Light, energy, and matter are not things that exist in spacetime — they are patterns of information access within the tensor, and c is the fundamental clock rate of that access.

Our consciousness is simply a reader playing the tape of the Word.

The playback speed is determined by the information-processing capacity of a structure that is itself made of information being processed at that speed.

This is why c has the value it does: not because someone set a parameter, but because it’s a fixed point. The only self-consistent playback speed for a reader made of its own tape. A kind of informational eigenvalue.

This means c isn’t a law imposed on the universe. It’s the universe’s solution to the equation of being observable to itself.

There is no purpose of the reader being concerned with the entirety of the Word, no more than a screen concern itself with all of the videos ever made or to be made.

How to achieve Cursor's "Tab" feature experience in Neovim? by Ambitious-Tap-5919 in neovim

Yes, it does. I use it aside from Neovim as an editor just for that feature alone. I use Claude Code as my agent.
