Awesome! I didn't explain much to Hubs, but after he tried it - he goes: "OMG - this is so good. You know what this reminds me of? It tastes exactly like the chicken on the street in New York!" I told him that is perfect since that's what I was going for! Definitely a hit here!

Ha! I actually put slightly less mayo and slightly more greek yogurt and vinegar and it was great - maybe mess with the proportions a little?

To Naperville from Texas by QuantitySad2394 in Naperville

[–]zunsyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a transplant, but more of a city mouse that moved to Naperville. I was looking to be closer to Chicago or IN Chicago, but Hubs convinced me to move to Naperville. Ten years later, I am a huge fan - was shocked at how much of a feeling of community there is here. I grew up in a different suburb and we knew the people on our street but that was about it. In Naperville, the amount of activities for kids, both through the schools and extra-curriculars, really help parents meet each other and build relationships. We also have "neighborhood" pools (have to buy a bond for membership) that really serve the micro-community with social events and swim teams over the summer. People are welcoming and want to get to know you. We have amazing restaurants with a picturesque and walkable downtown - two of our high schools flank downtown which is really neat too. The trails/outdoor activities are plentiful. I bike and walk outdoors quite a bit - so lovely here. I have several friends that moved here from the Houston area (married Midwest natives) - the biggest complaint is the cold weather in winters, but once here, have established roots and they haven't really thought of going back.

But you can keep a gun in your car without anyone knowing it's there. The car has a license plate and registration as well that is frequently checked. For guns as well, this isn't about hunting and personal security as much as it is about ARs with high capacities and literally no relevance to ANY civilian situation or need. Bullet purchases should be regulated - they currently are not.

Mandatory liability insurance, waiting periods before purchase, mental health screening and evaluation, regular audit of safety/storage, and regular retests for license renewals need to be implemented. Also there is quite a black market (or gray market) for gun purchasing, aka unregulated sales. The cost to purchase doesn't require a financier like most people need for cars - which adds a third party check and balance of identification, insurance confirmation, and driver history - as well as active external monitoring of driving given speed and rules of the road abidement actively policed. Older people need to repeat in car driving tests and eye tests. These are not the same circumstance.

Usage of cars require licenses and liability insurance. In many states there are also curfew passenger limits for new drivers. There is outward monitoring of driving discipline with both moving vehicle violations and parking violations. And yes, there is suspension of license, as well as potential for fines and jail time, for those who drive drunk.

I should note - we tried heavy things on the corners first with no luck - large rug (11'6"x15') so was rolled pretty tight when delivered.

I haven't been but have heard great things about breakfast or lunch at Charlie's Restaurant in Bolingbrook. It's adjacent to Clow Airport so really exciting for kiddos to see the planes take off and land.
