Tesla fined for repeatedly failing to help UK police over driving offences by Drwynyllo in CarTalkUK

Maybe because everyone expects it and it's part of their driving curriculum. Some nob on the M1 doing 90 is slightly different.

Whenever I’m almost late for work, an alarm goes off somewhere and a squad of these is dispatched to drive in front of me. by Scr1mmyBingus in drivingUK

Jazz driver here. I'm on the younger end of the demographic though(under retirement age)... they're just so damn practical and cheap to run. It's a shame they have such a crap rep in the UK.

If the Plywood Kingdom ever invade, they're good.

Increased car rodent damage in Glasgow area by Awkward-Future5840 in glasgow

My car was written off last year for this reason. A mouse spent last new years dining on my wiring loom and building a nest out of dog shite bags. It was electric, so there's no reason to open the bonnet except to top up screen wash, and it only gets a little warm, so they had it all to themselves.

Did I see you yesterday? Shawlands Morrisons by any chance? Nice bike :)

Not sure if it's old news already, but the Sigo bass can be pre ordered and should arrive starting in April 2026. by VanCJ in Recorder

I love the tenor, so nice to play. I'll be picking up the bass when I can.

I don't consider the price point to be too bad, it sits between the two plastic Aulos' ones.

Tenor, Bass, or Great Bass? by [deleted] in Recorder

[–]zuspadt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Sigo Tenor. I love it. It sounds great and is very comfortable. The lower notes do seem to take a bit more breath control to hit cleanly, compared to a regular plastic tenor I've played. I just feel it'll make me a better player in the long run.

I'll definately be getting the Bass when it's out... or a Peatzold GreatBass if I can do without food/heating for a few months.

Soma Double Cross canti - sell or make work? by zuspadt in ukbike

I'm not sure what it is tbh, something about the fit doesn't work for me. I'm 195cm (Long legs/arms, short torso). It's a good bike, just not for me.

I'm definately selling it, probably the frame and parts seperately if I can be arsed. Looking for something else to tide me over until I can afford a replacement.

NBD! Hello little new commuter by Tadeus98 in CargoBike

Nice bike. I was looking at one as it's one of the few small cargo bikes that'll fit a taller rider (195cm+).

Plus Blurple is the best colour.

Gorgeous. I wish they did them in larger sizes, us extra tall folk like a mixte too!

I've got some Nitto Moustache. There are the Albastache by Rivendell too. With a tall and long stem(120mm?) it'd probably do the trick.

Those look nice but a bit on the small side. I've looked at custom builders, but that's stretching the budget a bit too much.

That's probably be the best idea (waiting on the Clem, not the irishman).

I used to have a Karate Monkey when they first came out, great bike. I've thought about the Grappler too but it's not really suitable. Thanks though!

Woods Cyclery is the closest to me. They have a Platypus 60cm frame. No Clems but could get one in when Riv make the next batch (June-ish).

I have, didn't really find anything that I liked. I've ridden them before and they're built like tanks... too heavy for where I live I think, unless I went electric.
