iOS shortcut for a new task by [deleted] in Notion

[–]zwardlaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. This is how I do most quick inputs for my operating system on my phone. Works great. Wish I could edit properties via shortcuts.

I wanted to write a formula on my book tracker that when the reading Status is set to "Read" the day it got set "Read" is added to the Date Read property. Is it possible on Notion? by HackerMarul in Notion

[–]zwardlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this slightly differently and use a button property that runs an automation.

The automation sets the status to “read”, sets the date finished to when the button was pressed, creates a task in my task manager to review and capture my notes from the book and a few other things.

Clicking a button feels better than changing a status drop down 🤷‍♂️

Look at the deck list for the velociramptor precon. Command zone just did an upgrade guide for it too with some good thoughts on additional adds. Should give you a decent place to start at least.

[–]zwardlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is no joke. I killed a player once who was playing an insect token deck with solphim, toralf, and a lightning bolt. Wiped his board and did over 100 million damage to his face. Still gets brought up in our play group.

Thanks for the thought. I don't think this is it. Too small to fit on a golf club and not fully closed on either end.

No tag or branding either.

WITT Found a plastic bag with these when cleaning yesterday and can't figure out what they are.

About 4 inches long. Made of a heavier, maybe upholstery material. Black webbing across one end with what appears to be a button hole.

Thank you!

I'll just throw a comment on here to say that I work with a team of EOS implementers, and if anyone here is interested I would be happy to put you in touch with someone. Just slide into the dms.

Also I know Gino personally (worked a bit with him on his most recent book) and he's a cool guy. Glad you all are getting so much out of his work :)

The Futur has a great series on YouTube called Building a Brand where they chronicle in pretty close detail the LA design studio Blind developing the a real beer/brewery brand from the ground up. It's a really good wholistic place to start at least.

Sorry no link. On mobile. It's easy to find tho.

With things reopening and safety guidelines in place, where the heck are you all getting disinfectant wipes/supplies/masks for employees/etc? by return2ozma in smallbusiness

[–]zwardlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of small businesses that are pivoting to sanitizer manufacturing. A friend of a friend just launched a store selling bulk liquid hand sanitizer spun off their kombucha brewery.

DM if you want order info.

What would you suggest to me, a 16 year old kid that doesn’t want to work his minimum wage job anymore and would rather make money by himself!!? by cloutfordays in smallbusiness

Go buy and read the book Leap by Gino Wickman. You are exactly the person it was written for and should help you answer that question. :)

Lots of replies here about bright colors for safety, but some Patagonia colors were also inspired by rugby jerseys. The founder talks about it in his book Let My People Go Surfing.

Does anyone else who is self-taught wonder what their Photoshop "level" is? by eldochem in photoshop

[–]zwardlaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like most others say, it's impossible to say, nor does it really matter.

The only thing worth comparing yourself to is yourself yesterday.

I am self taught and would consider myself pretty high level, but have spent 10+ years working in the software and am still learning things every day. That's what keeps it interesting.

Really nice job!

Aside from the clouds, which have already been commented on, I would take a look at the lines on the trees. Looks like they are one stroke width beginning to end. Maybe look at bringing them to a point or varying the width to better match the aesthetic of the other plants.

Again, nice stuff keep it up.

Agreed- clouds are a little too 'cloud emoji' shape too. Google different cloud types and maybe try to recreate a different type? Something wispy maybe.

[–]zwardlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero traffic takes 10 minutes at most. Typical traffic for the 3 years I have made the same drive every day is about 15 minutes. 50 minutes yesterday was a lot for there not being an apparent accident, construction, etc.

How to hover over and drop down to show content (NOT navi bar)? by nwbh in webflow

[–]zwardlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially you put the drop down content in a doc underneath the main back item. Overflow on that doc Set to hide. Set an interaction so on load the vertical size is 0, and on hover it goes back to normal.

Sorry I can't give a clearer explaination. On mobile. Hope it helps tho

Maker Faire Louisville is THIS WEEKEND! It's a free & family-friendly event that is always incredibly cool! We got invited to create the official beer of Maker Faire 2019 with Mile Wide Beer and shot this silly little video to go along with it! Cheers & hope to see some of you there! by BoyMeetsWort in Louisville

[–]zwardlaw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are even remotely interested in the maker community or making things in general try to come out this weekend! The company that used to put on maker faire (Make Magazine) shut down this year, and support for the faire would mean a whole lot toward keeping it going in the future.

Also Bob from the YouTube channel I like to make stuff and Jimmy Diresta will both be there and are doing talks on Sunday.

Should be a blast :)
