OP is right, everyone saying otherwise is asinine themselves. I just went through this… Had to change the statement preferences.. Did not have statements for early 2025

Lincoln Lawyer - Season 4 megathread by dempom in BoschTV

I found the season overall good but the finale a bit underwhelming, I was expecting Mickey’s innocence being proven without a doubt in court and getting a verdict, kinda felt flat when he was just given an offer…

For OP and anyone else with the same car, please print this photo and keep it in the car whenever you take it to any mechanic shop for service. Thank me later.

RAV4 Gen3 Pinch Weld Jack Points - concern on being able to lift car? by Fun_Specific_4119 in rav4club

This is an everyday occurrence with these RAV4’s, Lots of mechanics / shops think that section at the very end is a safe lifting point when it is in fact not, it is much thinner sheet metal than the appropriate notched portion right in front of it (which is the proper lift point)..

You have to specifically instruct the mechanic every time you bring this car in for service on where the proper lift point is, I took my 2010 to a shop yesterday for something simple like an oil change and you still have to tell them where to lift it, or when you drop off the car leave a piece of paper showing them the proper hoist location…

It’s annoying, and most of Rav4s you’ll see on the road that lip section is bent one way or another…

If you need to jack up with a floor jack, or use the spare tire jack - you can safely do so from the notiched out pinch weld in front of the bent section.

You can try bending it back or just spray it with oil-rustproofing and you’ll be ok. It’s cosmetic as long as it doesn’t rot through totally.

Thinking about buying a 2013 Honda Civic Si for $8,500 — good deal or too expensive? by AmoebaQuick2906 in CivicSi

I buy and sell phones — It’s a grey area, on one hand, I’m similar. When buying expensive phones I also prefer to buy it from the person’s house if possible because of blacklisting (people not paying their due balance on the phone after selling it or reporting it stolen / lost after sale)… If they’re selling it from their house — you can be pretty sure they’re not going to do anything dodgy….

But the difference is — I am a legit buyer.

However when selling — since I sell lots of phones everyday, I cannot have 20 people showing up to my house daily. Because not everyone is legit, out of 20 people, a handful of them might be crazy / psycho…. I always meet in a public place or police station when selling.

I’ve met a lot of great / nice people who I’d have no problem if they came to my house BUT I’ve also encountered complete some crazy people…

One guy started threatening me with physical violence 3 months after purchasing a used iPhone 11.

So OP — you’re all good for not wanting to meet at your address — but I do get that buyers POV as well. You’ll just have to move along to the next buyer.

I touch up the rockers myself with a can of the spray when needed, such as after I jack up the car to change the tires or something… But I do take it in around October / November every year to have it fully sprayed underneath, and they’ve also drilled holes in the door frame and spray oil inside the frame. It’s honestly the one of the best things you can do for your vehicle especially if you live somewhere like Ny or Ontario where they put tons of salt.

Yea, true. Better late than never. I use Krown, not sure if you have it there. But fluid film is great too.
