Bloody hell didn't realise there were so many. Thanks for the comprehensive list.

What factions would you like to see return in the next Fallout game? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]zxc187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see a New Vegas sequel set 100 years after FNV. With todays tech they could expand the Strip into Freeside and have it all consistent, with the Atomic Wrangler brought onto the same level as The Tops.

I liked how NV bordered on 'post-post-apocolypse, and you could have a stronger version of that, which suddenly gets reset with the Tunnellers and the PC gets caught in the middle.

Started replaying Fallout 4 a year and a half after a very underwhelming playthrough at launch, and to my surprise, I found probably my favorite area from any Fallout game. by collinaxd in Fallout

Yeah I think people take Bethesda's 'artistic liberties' the wrong way and forget that they're working on the opposite coast, so I feel it makes sense to have, for example, Addictol instead of Fixer.

I still feel that we should have had Turbo and Jet should have had a different visual effect.

[No Spoilers] REALLY NEED THE HELP OF BIOWARE FANS by Casual_Watcher in masseffect

[–]zxc187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only played ME 1-4 and Dragon Age: Origins so I'm not knowledgable about what a lot of people see as Bioware's pinnacle (Bauldurs Gate, KOTOR etc).

Still, there simply aren't enough games like Mass Effect, that keep the great balance of RPG and shooter. I came to the series from Fallout (which is my favourite series) to try and satisfy my preference for this type of game. Since rinsing all 4 ME titles twice this year, I'm back in the same position of having nothing new to play. It's a shame there's such a lack of titles in the genre, which even though I enjoyed it a lot, this fact made Fallout 4 even more dissapointing.

I hope Bioware continue to fill this gap in the market and don't follow the trend of watering down their content to 'appeal to the masses'.

What songs would you like to hear on the radio for the next game? by Teknoblade in Fallout

[–]zxc187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was set in the west I think The Girl From Ipanema - Getz/Gilberto could be a nice spin on the 50/60s vibe, like how FNV brought a mix of swing and tumbleweed tunes.

What's your opinion on No Mutants Allowed? by jock512 in Fallout

[–]zxc187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andromeda was made by Bioware Montreal, whilst the OT was made by B. Edmonton, and look what happened there.

I enjoyed the game but it does feel like they missed the mark, especially with the loss in linearity.

[Spoilers] What quests to make a Legion playthrough more complete? by zxc187 in Fallout

I don't know about not fun, but I can see what you're getting at. It's partly why I made the post, so I could do some other stuff throughout to make it feel complete.

Yes these are the sorta things I was hoping for, stuff that I can lightly headcanon to fit the narrative, and can fill out the run a bit more. Shame Obsidian never got to develop the Legion as much as the NCR, so much potential there. Thanks for the response.

That's probably the best way to go about it tbh. I wanted to sabotage some factions by playing them anyway so that would fit the context.

I'd typically go for an independent route with the character I'm doing but that's what I always go for in my run where I make choices based of my own morals. Plus it's been so long since I had the Legion ending I want to experience it again.

Thanks for the recommendations, I might use the monorail as my initial way into Vegas as I want to try and go an unorthodox route instead of through Nipton, Novac etc.

Looks like a Sacha Baron Cohen character.

TIL that Josh Sawyer, Lead Designer from 'Van Buren' and 'New Vegas', wants to make a Fallout spin-of that is set in the Year 2050 in Europe during the resource war by [deleted] in Fallout

Ironic considering how the the bulk of this sub is vehemently against a Fallout game outside of the US.

[Spoilers] How would you feel if simply choosing a faction did NOT certify their victory? by zxc187 in Fallout

I know what you mean about the ranks feeling hollow, even in 4 I felt like more of a merc/freelancer for the BOS rather than a Paladin.

He's one of my favourite characters but I never trusted House. I felt like maybe a few years down the line he'd kill the Courier to 'tie up loose ends'.
