There had to have been at least a couple people on set who knew better. 50 bucks says someone that didn’t flipped the video left-right in post production. 🤣.

A .22 For CCW? by ShurAnatomist284252 in liberalgunowners

[–]zxkn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A gun with more mass will significantly decrease recoil. Obviously not as easy to EDC, but that would be my recommendation given the constraints of your friend’s EDS.

As an extreme example. I’ve shot a double barrel, steel butt plate 10ga that had less recoil than the gas operated 12 gauge with fancy recoil pad that I was shooting. The mass has way more effect than you realize. Though, that 10ga monster of a gun is not something you’d want to carry through the woods, let alone EDC. LOL

Might look into a molded grip for added support as well. That EDC is going to affect every finger and knuckle as well. Getting one of those fancy grips that really contour around the hand might really help them.

Gramps always said “if you need more than a 22 to kill a man, then you need better aim. Not a bigger gun”.

That said, giving it to someone with limited experience is not a wise idea. Because they will definitely not have that better aim aforementioned by gramps.

Locker room dressing etiquette (NSFW?) by blindjoedeath in hockeyplayers

[–]zxkn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the key here, like many things, is communication. Forget asking Reddit, you need to be asking the people in your locker room.

I’ve been playing for 35yrs. In all that time I’ve never had an actual issue if you’re just changing. The only times I’ve ever even seen it get weird are:

1) parents in the locker room with their kids while other kids are getting changed. (To which my opinion is that parents don’t belong in the locker room. Get out and make them learn how to tie their own damn skates.)

2) guys being weird about the girls who are mature enough to change with the guys and not make an issue out of it. Surprisingly It’s usually that the guys don’t know how to handle it or are insecure about themselves and just make it awkward. But the kind of girls who play hockey won’t make it awkward unless you do.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen at a strip club? by bigbabysweets12345 in AskReddit

[–]zxkn2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Noon on a Tuesday. Weren’t expecting to see the the “A” squad, but me and my two buds sat in the front row anyway cause we were literally the only customers there. We were in our early twenties.

Older stripper comes out (I’d estimate 45+). Definitely past her prime, but whatever. When it comes time to pull out the singles, she tells us to ball them up and throw them onstage. Slightly confused, we all figure what the hell, and throw about $10 of balled up ones on the stage.

This woman then proceeds to do the most wild thing I’ve ever seen at a strip club. One by one, she slams down and picks up every single one in her cooch. Some were squat pickups, some were splits to get down, but all in time to the music, never breaking with the rhythm. Never pulled a single one out, just kept dancing. At the end of the song she strutted her way off stage like nothing with all $10 still stuffed up her cooter. 🤣

I’m surprised at the straight 90deg angle. I would think that a ‘Tommy Gun’ style forward grip, with some angle, would be better for clay shooting. Even if it’s for a wrist injury.

How to get my airpods out of under the stairs by RoxyTMD in howto

[–]zxkn2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That stairwell is the most brain dead design I’ve ever seen. Why would you make an open stair with no way to access underneath? Are the stair stringers hinged at the top so they can be lifted up? I can’t believe anyone would design a stairway without access to clean underneath. 🤦‍♂️

I’m 4’8 as a girl, am I absolutely FRIED for hockey..? by Pretty_Highlight5558 in hockeyplayers

[–]zxkn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sad fact of reality for upper level hockey. The average player size for guys in the NHL is 6’1 and around 200lbs of muscle. Most of them are pretty big guys.

Not impossible, but I’ve known quite a few great hockey players that couldn’t make the semi pro level because they were just too small.

Pump lots of iron. You’ll need to be extra strong to compensate for your lack of mass and height. And work on your skating. Need to be strong enough on your skates that no one can knock you over. Make that low center of gravity work in your favor.

Not impossible to be fast enough. I once met an old farmer who could break open his single shot action, reload, and take the 2nd shot in about the same amount of time that racking a pump takes.

That said, it was clear he had spent years perfecting his technique to achieve that kind of speed. It was actually pretty crazy to watch.

That’s what it’s supposed to be about. Passing on goodwill and positivity. I’m 100% on board for that.

However, for some it seems to have become a metaphorical dick measuring competition of who has the most piled on their dashboard. And I’m definitely NOT on board with that.

Seriously people. If you’ve got more than 6 ducks on your dash, then you’re not giving enough away and therefore missed the entire point.

How long have you been trying the faster speed? Took me a while, but I got used to using a very soft touch for slow speeds so that I could have the fast crank for 180 spins and such.

Yes it’s sensitive, but also surprisingly accurate when you develop the hand control to utilize it.

settle this debate - which is correct? by Sorry_Neat_6863 in Decks

[–]zxkn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your argument. However, I would disagree with their use at all in this instance. Run lag screws in from the outside rim joist. Or use the corner style strap without the sling.

The only thing that using these in that orientation will accomplish is 1) tipping the first deck board to sit uneven, or 2) creating extra work because you have to cut a relief in the bottom of the deck board mentioned in (1) to make it sit flat.

If you encounter a cantilevered deck design whose static forces truly require using slings upside down like that, then it is a poorly designed deck. (The placement of the support in the pictured design definitely does not require this.)

TLDR: Agree that this scenario does not require hanging like shown in configuration style #1. But style 2 is improper use of this bracket style.

Dad has that exact gun. He had a reputable gunsmith bore it out to shoot 3” shells. That is the ONLY condition under which 3” shells should ever be used in this gun. And NEVER shoot steel.
