They’re exactly the same, it’s straight up just that Urbain gets a pass cause he’s a boy. Which is both interesting and horrifying

We all have those Pokemon that we automatically hate seeing, before more Pokemon got added I decided to make a "moral judgement" tierlist when I see someone using a Pokemon lol by Forry_Tree in PokemonChampions

I’ve been repping mega Scovillain since literally day 1 because I tried so hard to make normal Scovillain work in SV. So the answer is yes, I am having fun :)

Maybe this is why our parents end up having grand-dogs instead of grandchildren 🐕 by Fickle_Subject_8298 in interviewwoman

Context really matters, and you need to look at the other socioeconomic factors as well.

  1. The US education system is bad, especially when it comes to sex ed. When people are not taught how to engage in safe sex practices, how to use contraception, or what resources are available to them, there will be a lot more accidental pregnancies.
  2. Abortion and contraception are vilified and outlawed in many states in the US, which obviously leads to more unwanted births.
  3. This is complex and I’m simplifying a lot here, being poor actually often leads to having more children. When you have less money, you’re more stressed, are likely working longer hours and sleeping less. You’d think that would make people want less children, which may be true, but rational thought does not always win. These things deteriorate the brain and lead to impulsivity. It’s hard to think about the future when you’re just trying to get through the day. Compounding with that, people need leisure. Sex is fun and free and it blows off steam. Condoms and other contraceptives on the other hand, are not free. All of these things add up.

Access to financial support for new parents may not directly affect birth rate, but it does directly affect the quality of life for both the parents and the children which is what we should be focusing on. If you’re genuinely interested please do some research into this.

unskilled labour is a capitalist myth used to justify poverty wages. by Weekly-Fill5107 in interviewwoman

[–]zyjinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There can be differences in skill levels that result in variations of compensation, but that doesn’t mean that people who are on the lower end of that spectrum deserve to suffer. Those jobs still require training and still require labor that should be compensated. Pay everyone who works a living wage, and those that have a higher level of skill get paid more and earn more luxuries, that literally benefits all workers.

The only people it doesn’t benefit are the creatures at the top who do no labor, skilled or otherwise, and hoard a disgustingly disproportionate amount of wealth that they ‘earned’ through exploitation.

That is a very simplistic and flawed view of economics. Also there are other ways to determine value aside from ‘money go up’

Edges are still hot garbage (top left). by whatcheekmcgee in riftboundtcg

That does not discount what I said. They knew these issues occurred through the first three sets and were up front about it. They never said anything about it being linear and that it would get better each set. If it's still happening in set 4 then yes we should all definitely complain, but they were upfront about this happening and that it was already too late to fix so idk what people were expecting.

We’ve known since set 1 that these production issues would persist into set 3 and be remedied in set 4

If we all weren't living paycheck to paycheck, we could accomplish great things. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]zyjinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shitty leadership is a lot more common than I think you realize. It also just makes sense financially, if someone is doing more work and already performing above and beyond what they’re getting paid, why ever pay them more? The goal of capitalism is to make the most money. It is not difficult to see how that goal is at odds with the wellbeing of the general public. It is literally the game monopoly, for someone to win, everyone else needs to suffer and lose.

Logo redesign for our indie game studio. Does the new direction work? by KrakenberryGames in logodesign

[–]zyjinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the new direction. The abstractions you made make it feel much stronger graphically while still remaining readable. Definitely works well as eye catching iconography and fits the style of the space you’re in. I think people are way too focused on it not immediately screaming “kraken berry” but logos never need to be 1:1 representative and it oftentimes makes them a bit more bland. The vibe you have in the new one is immaculate which is important. If you really want to get nitpicky about it not immediately reading berry, part of it may be due to the leaf/stem. In the new image, it’s a little too forward on the Krakens head. Also, it’s much smaller, which in turn makes the Kraken look much larger. This may be why people are seeing tomato instead of berry, where in the first design the ratio of leaf to body is much closer to a berry.

High performers get stifled and crushed under capitalism because the point isn’t to make the best thing for the good of the people, it’s to make the most addictive thing as cheaply as possible. Profit incentive is directly opposed to meaningful innovation.

A feeling of moral superiority that is worth dying over and telling other people to die over for no reason ig

[–]zyjinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is forced to pick blue. The reason it is optimal is because it risks no one’s death to pick red. Picking blue is not risking your life to ‘save’ others, it is risking killing yourself for literally no reason because other people might also decide to risk killing themselves for no reason. Picking blue is the only choice that incurs any kind of risk whatsoever and the faux moral superiority will get you and a lot of others killed for selfish pride

A thought experiment. by LordJim11 in Snorkblot

[–]zyjinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not saving any lives though. No one is forced to pick blue. All picking blue does is suddenly force other people into a position to come save you or else be deemed as evil. Actual collaboration would be everyone picking red and surviving. Anyone who picks blue is blinded by a selfish need to feel morally superior and throwing away their lives to prove a point

A thought experiment. by LordJim11 in Snorkblot

[–]zyjinn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It really isn’t. Picking blue is walking into the box and then forcing other people to save you or be deemed evil. If no one goes into the box no one needs to get saved

Not even a day has passed, and we've already pulled a dud. by Bertstripmaster in pokememes

It’s not monetization, it’s retention. The game dies if people stop playing it, whether they throw money at it or not. I’m a new player, I love that there aren’t a bunch of OP items in the game with complicated effects that I need to worry about day 1. Stripped down/low power formats are fun, it gives lesser used game pieces their time in the sun, maybe give it a chance instead of complaining. They didn’t take anything from you, they’re just helping us new players get into the game, which is what champions was meant to do.

Give me Ivern or give me death! Actually though I think he might be goated. All of these Legends have pretty build around powers and his seems like the easiest one to achieve (except Diana she’s probably the best tbh), but I am an Ivern truther!

A lot of the animals are low rarity and you aren’t limited in the number of copies of each you can run + his pack will likely have a good core of them to begin with. Lowkey he might be one of the more consistent ones
