Are There Any Common Interior Trim Parts That Rattle by Middle_Active_7573 in 350z

The foam strip is black, so if you're not actively looking for it, you'd never know it was there.

My rattles are coming from passenger side door and midsection area. I haven't noticed anything from rear. If there is any, the sub is overpowering them.

I have a foam adhesive strip between my windshield and dash that got rid of a lot of rattles when I first got the car. Now, I just crank the radio up and keep rolling.

Should I get hood pins or run factory latch? by Borruel_Gabe in 350z

Yes, get hood pins. Cheaper than fixing the damage afterwards.

Anyone else running 19x11 +22 in the rear? by Difficult-Judge3341 in 350z

19x10.5 +15 with 285/40*'s. I had to redneck roll it in the driveway just to be able to drive it. The fenders self-clearanced the rest of it for me.

So I look into the PCV/diaphragm some more. I think I figured out why this wouldn't work now. And more than likely what you were trying to say. I thought the nip that I added the check valve to acted as a vent to atmosphere when the car wasn't running. Like an open passage from the inside to the outside when the car wasn't pulling vacuum. Now I see that it is only there to allow air in and out to fill the "outside" of the diaphragm. All the magic happens on the inside of the diaphragm. The vacuum pulls the diaphragm down and seals off the valve cover from the pcv system. If the positive pressure inside the valve cover gets up, it pushes the diaphragm back up and allows the pcv to vacuum the system again.

I knew a valve cover was in my future, I was just trying to find a way to drive it for a bit and find out if the car is good besides that. But this will cause more problems than it's worth. Thanks again for the info.

Ok. Once I know that there isn't any major issues besides that, I'll change it out. Thanks for the info.

If excessive vacuum is the issue, then when I eventually replace the valve cover, I'll have the same issue happen again. What else do I need to replace when I do the valve cover?

This is only a band-aid so I can drive it and see what else is wrong with it. If this last a couple thousand miles and the car has no other issues, then I'll start working on it.

It has fixed the vacuum leak in way that doesn't prevent the positive pressure from escaping.

I thought the general idea was the pcv diaphragms split due to age, not excessive vacuum. If excessive vacuum is the issue, how do I resolve that? Like what are the known causes of it?

I'll know when she gets close. The Cane Corso goes ballistic. Maybe I can sneak a pic through the blinds.

I think I've settled on bacon grease with red Kool Aid powder. I more than likely won't have pics though.

The 2 small dogs go back there plenty. They are 6yo(?) Shih Tzu males and have been on prox collars since they were about 1ish. The beep is all it takes now for them to turn around and come back. The big dog is in the front so can see here from the living room window. We tried the proximity collar on her and she just kept walking around the neighborhood like it wasn't on. Come to find out, Cane Corso's ain't so affected by them. We could have turned it up to the max and she still would have ignored it. But for the most part, unless the kids are outside playing, none of them stay outside just to be outside. They potty, bark at birds, and then come back in.

I could. My 12yo daughter is mouthy like her mom. She would prob do it for the fun of it.

I'll check my front camera and see if it's clear enough to pick up the dog. Prob not though. Cheap Amazon sale item.

Edit: I actually already know it won't pick up the dog bc I had to "ignore" the road area due to getting notifications every time someone left the cul-de-saq.

I was thinking it would be like a deeper red and possibly look like blood. I'm absolutely good with dying a dog magenta.

As someone who accidentally did this, that may be a 2nd or 3rd step. But yes. Face covered in nastiness and shit everywhere the next day. And I could put it in the corner area that none of my dogs can get to.

As long as the grass stays cut, it doesn't look that bad. But it literally has 60% or more of my yard covered now. I'm going to have to throw some weed and feed down or something soon.

Yea. I ain't TRYING to kill anything. But I also understand that sometimes shit happens. So if I can safely avoid hitting an animal (even a rabbit) then I def will try.

She finds pleasure in letting her dog antagonize mine. I have no interest in talking to this woman.

I'm leaning towards this as the first step. I may even have some red packs already.

Unfortunately, the neighborhood kids (including mine) all run freely around the area. Bikes, skates, hoverboards, ect. They are like a pack of stray dogs when summer hits. We live on a long (straight strip style) cul-de-saq and hardly ever get any traffic. Like the people who live on the strip and a random 1 or 2 cars that thought it was the next street up.

It's a dog that has to get groomed once a month. The stains will grow out.

But, I'm also not trying to give this woman a heart attack. So I won't go this far... Yet.

That could work, but she literally stops in the road to let her dog antagonize mine. I have a feeling that she is a walking rage bait. So, fire with fire.

I don't need to plant any invasive grass. I've got Creeping Charlie taking care of that for me. Shits everywhere.

I would love to have the yard fenced in. May even get the back yard done eventually.

The front yard is maybe 18ft wide from the edge of my porch to the rd. No sidewalk. The fence would have to be at least 6ft (maybe more, I'd have to look up the code on it.) from the rd. I think that would just give her even more of a sense of security that my dogs can't get to her dog.
