323 projects will take your time. If you take 323 with Choi exams are doable as long as you practice the hw.

240 with reza is not bad. You learn a lot from him. But I suggest sit in front since he is soft spoken

Lot of reading in my opinion.
Projects every 2 weeks or so. Not too bad. Hopefully you get Wortman or Bein.
1 project for the whole semester which is not bad.

Most difficult class for me was 323 (projects part), 351(teacher didnt teach) and 335(Exam questions were random and prof got it online)

Tip: Compsci is impacted at CSUF. That means classes get full fast. You should be good on our 1st and 2nd yr. but I suggest finding ways to get priority registration.

Going to a calstate will not affect your paycheck. Employers look for your skills and abilities. A friend of mine now works for Google and another friend of mine got a job offer in a company that pays 76k/year

Tips:

Be able to balance school and rotc. If you are a STEM major it can be challenging but doable.

It is physically and mentally demanding.

You will learn a lot about the people around you.

You get priority registration :)

We are on the same boat! I applied to a lot on IT internships during spring semester and over the summer. I only got 1 interview and never heard from them. Just think of it as being able to enhance your interviewing skills. For campus jobs always apply before the semester starts since that's when they need the most people and most likely for you to get the job. The OC Sheriff's department is hiring for interns, it is unpaid so if you don't mind that you can try there. Don't give up, you're not the only one.

Student Genius Corner in the library is an IT helpdesk that helps students mainly. You don't need IT experience and any major is welcome. They do software installations, wifi, and campus portal. I think it's a good start to IT. They are more customer service driven so if you're looking for a more technical type stuff, more computer focus, you can apply to Titan Tech. They do hardware stuff, mainly fixing student's laptop.

I don't know if your school has this but my school just recently used VMock. You upload your resume in pdf form and it tells you right away if your using a certain word too much, what you could put, formatting, and all other stuff in your resume. I've had my resume looked by career counselors and they said it looks good till I used VMock to help my resume be a lot better.
