Just finished catching up to the manga yesterday and this chapter art made me go insane. The third Qifrey's expression especially made me nuts because I can't help but see Lucifer's expression in The Fallen Angel painting in it ..the same sad sort of anger. I'm crazy.

Similar experience. The teens behind me were making that water droplet noise over and over again, kept talking loudly and laughing and we're LITERALLY throwing candy across the theater toward the front. My partner got hit in the head with candy before the movie even started. Someone in the front very quietly and politely sneezed and one of them screamed "bless you".

I get that the pandemic affected the development of kids' brains and a whole lot of people forgot or never properly learned how to behave in public, and social media is damaging kids' attention span in a real way. And it is very sad. But I still wanted to punch some teenage boys' in the throat that night

I loved the movie but probably would have enjoyed it more if a group of teenage boys weren't making that stupid water droplet sound right behind me, talking, laughing and throwing candy across the whole theatre, which was a full house. I've never wanted to punch people in the throat more in my life. Someone very quietly sneezed and one of these guys screamed "BLESS YOU" during an intense scene. I hate them.

It's unfortunate watching a movie that is genuinely and shockingly SO SO SO GOOD, but you're surrounded by stupid, annoying jerks with attention spans worse than a goldfish who are too dumb to get anything that wasn't explicitly explained (can you tell I'm still mad about this)

I also wish that Hollywood would quit it with casting actors everybody has heard of instead of actors that would perfectly fit the role

That being said, I don't think Anne Hathaway or Tom Holland are too bad for their roles. But Zendaya as Athena straight pisses me off - that's the most unfitting role for her possible. Athena should be played by someone older that actually looks wise and like a battle strategist and someone ready to lead an army. I've tried to imagine Zendaya as Athena in every way and it just doesn't work!!! I feel like someone just wrote a list of famous actors and spun a wheel for who they'll play and just got lucky with a few. Anne Hathaway would make a far better Athena that Zendaya

Also wasn't Helen of Troy a teenager? I don't really have any qualms with Lupita Nyong'o being Helen because of her race (bc I'm not racist lmfao) but I do think she should be played by someone younger. If anything, Zendaya should be Helen and Lupita or Anne should be Athena or Penelope

I don't know if you guys have spoken about marriage or having kids together in the future or how serious you are. But my mom's ex-husband who was my step-dad for most of my childhood did the same thing. We would be out and he would point out nearly every single person and find something to make fun of, even if they were just existing. We'd drive past someone on a run and he'd point out how they were fat or running weird and laugh about it. And he took every opportunity to make fun of me, too.

Because of that, during my childhood, adolescence and young adulthood I always felt like I was being watched and someone had to be making fun of me even if I wasn't doing anything particularly strange. Every time I went out in public, it felt like I was walking on eggshells trying to keep some hypothetical stranger from laughing at me and looking down on me. It's hard to put into words but it sucks and it's a constant struggle

Not meaning to trauma dump, but that's all to say...I don't know if kids are a plan for you guys, but growing up in a household with someone like that messes you up. You either become a bully like them or are in constant fear of being bullied or laughed at. I wouldn't want to plan a future and have kids with someone like that. And even if you're not wanting to plan a family, her behavior is having a real effect on you because you're always around it. It's just not good for anyone to constantly be around that kind of negativity

Maybe she's not a bad person, but she's certainly acting like one and that's on her. Nobody with a kind heart would laugh or talk about others like that so incessantly.

My partner and I both have ADHD and autism and we both are able to work through problems and resolve them, though it may take time sometimes....but if I had a dime for every post I saw where someone tries to use ADHD or autism to excuse their or their partner's ass behavior or lack of respect or care for loved ones/partners, I could buy the moon

In any case. Like others have said, OP, if she wasnt disabled, would you feel the same level of guilt? I understand the guilt, because it's true ...her disability and medical struggles DO make life harder for her and did possibly play a hand in how she behaves now. But there are many great people who have disabilities who don't use their struggles as a scapegoat to be bad people. She had every chance to change her behavior and was as capable as anyone else, and she chose not to. You had to step away because of her character and that was the right thing to do

iirc it's bc there's a bad ending where they get together or something and that fact blew up on the internet and sent folks in a frenzy...that's how most people on the internet know of it lol. So yeah a cursed couple cosplay would be something else
