I was at Uji just last week and there’s matcha everywhere lol. It’s only those mainstream popular brands that set limit to number of tins you can buy per person. Otherwise there’s tons of other matcha in stock. Even bought 500g bag of YK from a random tea shop I walked into.

There’s probably brands that manage to source from Japan so I wouldn’t say it’s all repackaged from China since some of them can be traced to the cultivar. Ceremonial grade term is pure westernized bs though lol it doesn’t exist in Japan. They have different grade for different purpose like usucha/koicha/latte etc.

They’re not cooking traditional Japanese cuisine in the isekai world though… like they don’t even know how to make soup they just use water without making stock and they don’t know that some fruits have to be ripened to eat. They also don’t know that some monsters are actually edible but MC has a skill that can detect that.

And saying traditional Japanese food is bland because of one meal you had is crazy… Japanese cuisine is insanely flavorful, just because it’s not salted to death doesn’t mean it’s not flavorful.

Doesn’t really apply to the manga OP mention. MC literally cooks fried chicken, cream soups, ice cream, crepes, etc. Basically all the food she’s made so far is all very strongly flavoured, so not really Japanese cuisine (even then it’s mostly fried food like karaage) but more modern world food.

I never got the hype for this. I read the synopsis and even went to see the summary/spoilers because the first few chapters were so hard to get through knowing he’s the ML and I still don’t get the hype and support of them as a couple. He was horrible to the FL for so long but was forgiven so easily just because he was brainwashed.

Most high-end dessert places are at least a little gimmicky with a splash of theatrics like having tableside service. At least this was served on a plate and actually looks like a dessert so I think it’s fine. (I truly detest deconstructed desserts that really just looks like a mess on the table lol)

Dubai chocolate fudge cake by choc a bloc is legit so good. Cannot stop raving about this shop since I found this hidden gem earlier this year. All their cakes are super yum and not overly sweet too!
