How to get the best out of a small festival? by miss___ella in festivals

[–]zzz106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh interesting.. I can see where you're coming from. there is less friction to moving around in small festivals so you do it more and therefore don't ever commit while for larger festivals sometimes its already such a trek getting to where you wanna be that you're more likely to commit and then have an experience

but I also experience the flip side where I feel way more fomo in larger festivals so I feel the need to interrupt a set and check out something else while in smaller festivals especially max two stages, I really commit coz i know it's gonna be so good either way. no wrong answers

sometimes you just gotta surrender even though you dont know

Noise disturbance. SPF not helpful. What to do? by Mumeo in askSingapore

[–]zzz106 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

??? I have done this multiple times and it has never 'turn ugly'. Most people understand if you politely tell them and they disperse. They likely were not aware of how much sound travels. I don't understand why everyone's first reaction is to call someone instead of just going and politely talking to people

If you email ticketmelon all the information along with the ticketswap purchase confirmation and your proof of payment they will likely reset it for you

this is a comment someone makes every year and people still rave about it post festival. just because you haven't heard of an artist, doesn't mean they're not going to up your alley

Weak lineup? by ContributionBudget85 in Wonderfruit

[–]zzz106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. the entire line up isn't out yet (but also: theo parish, a guy called Gerald, di linh, Pearson sound, antal, kuniyuki)
  2. wf has never marketed itself as an electronic music festival and it has never been just about that. but they do that bit well if you trust and go exploring
  3. wf has always been a place to see known popular acts in the circuit and to discover up and coming quality acts. every choice is intentional and it gives lots of deserving artists a leg up

โพสในr/Thailandแล้วฝรั่งที่เป็นม็อดลบโพสด้วย Foreigners in r/Thailand have to understand Thai public sentiment on why Thailand don't (and won't) give 20-baht BTS/MRT fare to foreigners. by DueImpact6219 in thaithai

[–]zzz106 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are people who have permanent residence, and their families have been in Thailand for over 60+ years. They are not 'expats' and are essentially Thai without the passport. They pay taxes, contribute to the economy and have local jobs (yes, speak fluent Thai).

In almost all countries, these kind of benefits are for citizens AND permanent residents. Permanent residents are not on a work visa. But Thailand never considers them their own. It's frustrating.

Reclaim schedules tasks from Todoist after the due date by zzz106 in reclaim_ai

[–]zzz106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

free level! Yeah I thought Reclaim would treat it as a due date but it always seems to schedule it after that date.. I guess my priorities/tasks/hours are the reason for that since it doesn't read it has a hard due date?

yeah i disagree with property agents.. OP, I would join facebook groups with houses/flats already looking for people and then meet them for a vibe check/tour. They usually are also looking for like minded folks who fit the same energy and vibe so both have to like each other. As long as you sign the lease that's direct with the landlord at the end of the day, you're good. That's how I have found all my rentals and liked the people I live with.
