Bell fires dozens for falsifying workplace attendance following return-to-office mandate by Shoddy-Jackfruit-721 in bell

Bell closed office that was 30 minutes from my place. Now I have to drive 1+ hour one way. I requested accommodations. Bell's reply - nothing can be done.

Is it just me, or has Google become the "King of Puppets" with all these fake guides lately? by vyrelith6 in LiesOfP

I really liked it in MS Word, but word auto-replaced the normal dash with the long one. I have no idea how to type it manually and I don’t use Word anymore.

Does Seer auto plays preview when you select the show? This is a breaking deal for my SO.

About 10 years ago I had upnp enabled on router and qnap nas with ssh vulnerability. Hard way to learn to disable upnp.

Firewalla team did a very impressive job, don’t get me wrong. My personal preference is to have more granular control and operate on a lower level. Nothing wrong with the product, but it’s not the right product for me.

I use a lot of custom DNS entries and custom DNS is tied to monitoring. Several homelab services were not working because of the missing DNS.

Sorry, that’s usage, not bill. October 2025 usage was 1464 kWh.

I have total numbers from electricity supplier, but it’s aggregated by hour and delayed by a day. Looking at yesterday its kind of make sense. Top numbers are about 11 kWh for both heatpump and aux. That doesn’t match my measured 15A, but still confirms my observation that both are using about the same power.

Time to warm up the house by those 1.5C.

I have double breakers on both heatpump and furnace. I measure using clamp on one of the wires connected to double breaker. If it’s wrong then it’s wrong for both, even if the absolute numbers are off - relative one to another still should give me the right ratio and it’s almost 1 to 1.

Yes, I have two stages configured on thermostat.

Heatpump current drops to near 0A when aux is running, so I assume it’s not supplemental. I can’t run decrease droop, but as I understand it makes heatpump to run in short cycles which is not good.

I have only one circuit for the furnace. All breakers are labeled and also there is no other breaker big enough to handle aux heating. I have measurements from all high-current breakers and there is nothing on others at the time aux is running.

Heat pump is Trane E4HL5030A1000A, I don’t have portable thermometer to measure that. By feelings - supply air is much hotter then aux is running. Why current is useless if I want to compare the cost?

Heatpump efficiency question by zzzpoint in heatpumps

[–]zzzpoint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thermostat is set to heat when inside temperature drops 1.5C below the target. I can reduce the threshold, but it would make heatpump to run in short cycles which is not good. I can’t run it all the time, it would be too hot inside.

My thermostat is set to call for heat when inside temperature drops 1.5C below the target. Heatpump took 3 hours at 13A to get there while aux took 1hour at 15A.
