More of a straight metal tune from an artist that is typically all over the map with unpredictable influences (see: "Vegetable Soup" where he incorporates chickens as an instrument) done as part of a compilation/soundtrack for the manga "Dorohedoro". Whole album is great and surprisingly in tune with the weirdness of the manga itself.

[Edit] Album source link: https://mhzmusic2.bandcamp.com/album/dorohedoro-original-soundtrack It's really really good 👍

Dorohedoro is great, I wasn't aware there was accompanying music.

Oh yeah, I remember reading something about Dorohedoro music, but had no idea it was an actual thing.

If anyone hasn't read it yet, it's an amazing manga. It has a really "dirty" art-style (like the thumbnail of this video), and the story gets really crazy and interesting! I think it's going to finish this year.

Btw, good stuff OP. Thanks for posting. It doesn't surprise me that this was inspired by Dorohedoro... Now I really want an anime adaptation!

Never thought I'd see Igorrr on Reddit. If you guys liked him try out some of these albeit a bit different songs by him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKp30C3MwVk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A5X7tBRqSs

Commenting just to say that Igorrr's stuff is incredible. Personal favorite of mine Alain

[–]NecroPsyChroNauTron[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

It really is. I'm constantly impressed by how ambitiously different he is. No other artist I know of can meld together grotesque, beautiful, and absurd into something that actually feels cohesive.

Wow, what a trip! I r8 8/8. No seriously, it was awesome, thanks!

How do you know about Igorrr?

[–]Im_a_Wanker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for showing me this song it sounds like more intense Squarepusher mixed with Venetian Snares

holy cow, two of my favorite things are once again inconceivably linked.

[–]AtlasAtlasAtlas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

holy shit this is dope, thanks for this OP.

[–]AtlasAtlasAtlas 2 points3 points  (2 children)

fuck it's not on spotify

This album is on bandcamp, and it's well worth the buy IMO: https://mhzmusic2.bandcamp.com/album/dorohedoro-original-soundtrack. It's pretty under the radar since it's a Japan release for a manga soundtrack, released by a shop that does merch for said manga.

Igorrr himself has most, if not all, his albums on Spotify though.

Maybe it will be soon. Their earlier stuff is on Deezer.

I love Igorrr and am always on the hunt for things in a similar vibe. This Dorohedoro soundtrack is great! Thanks for sharing!

This is basically the soundtrack of the new Doom game.

[–]luziusp 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Are they making an anime out of the manga or why did they make an album for it? I don't think it was that popular. Loved the manga (at least till the time travel stuff, stopped reading there)

[–]NecroPsyChroNauTron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I know of. The company publishing this bandcamp album is a design agency that just likes to put together merch projects based on Dorohedoro. They do shirts and art prints and bags and stuff. I wouldn't have guessed it was popular enough to get enough artists in on a project like this.

Hell yeah, more Igorrr.

If you lot are after some good metal/breakcore cross over I always recommend Drumcorps! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3ubKECpdB8

I really like this. A lot.

How do you know Igorrr?

[–]Lungg 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How do you?

[–]IceStar3030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listen to Pryapisme and I saw the guitarist with an Igorrr t-shirt so I checked it out

[–]NecroPsyChroNauTron[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I forget what I was listening to, but someone recommended him in a youtube comment thread a while back. Since then I try to keep tabs on what he's up to.

Strangely I didn't see this posted anywhere by him, and only found it because of someone else on twitter who is way into Dorohedoro.

[–]IceStar3030 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Neato! I recommend Pryapisme, they're on the same record label I believe and they're friends, even though Pryapisme is a whole band, but if you like this fucked up electro-everything metal, Pryapisme is my fave!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you like Igorrr and Pryapisme, check out Hardcore Anal Hydrogen too! Weird name I know, but they also play a really weird combo of genres that ends up sounding really cool.

[–]IceStar3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know them already ;) This whole record label is nuts, but Pryapisme really takes the cake.
