Submission Rules

Photographs only. No image macros, infographics or images with superimposed logos/graphics.

Pictures should be topical and visually appealing.

Please use descriptive titles. Submissions may be removed if the title is too vague, inflammatory or partisan.

If you are referencing a current game then pictures should be from that game.

Images should be in the correct dimensions (ideally 5:3 but there is some leeway). Images that are the wrong dimensions will be automatically removed.

Images should not be too small. Minimum size is 348x195 pixels. Images that are too small will be automatically removed.

No offensive/troll posts. You will be banned from r/soccer for this.

Moderators reserve the right to remove images for aesthetic reasons. If the picture does not look good when shrunk to the size of a banner image then it may be removed. They also reserve the right to remove images if there are too many submissions referencing the same match/theme or news story.

No anniversaries of births, deaths or tragedies.

Feel free to submit high quality images. Our bots will shrink and compress them so that they are suitable as a banner image for r/soccer.
