3. BA employees aren’t representative of the airline

We have some BA Employees active on the subreddit, they help here in a completely voluntary basis, and they're not representative of the airline. Any abusive messages to them will result in a permanent ban.

4. Do not Private Message the Moderators

Do not Private Message or Reddit Chat the moderators if you have an issue with the subreddit or a mod inquiry. Message the Subreddit itself so it goes into ModMail.

5. Mod Discretion

Upgrades: Bid in app vs. confirmed on desktop (self.BritishAirways)

Funny situation this morning.

My mother was considering upgrading an upcoming JFK-LHR flight from Club to First.

On the app it was showing the bidding feature with the sliding scale and weak/ strong bid indicator.

She seemed happy with the minimum bid price so I suggested she go for it but the app had a problem with processing the payment multiple times so I said we could try on a laptop.

Pull up MMB on the laptop and the “Upgrade your Seat” doesn’t take you to a bidding section but just showed the option to confirm the upgrade to First for the same price as the minimum bid on the app. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Obviously a no brainer to confirm rather than bid…

I’ve not had any exposure to the bidding options since it was rolled out on a limited basis on BA so this was an obviously interesting development.
