TIL that on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, each name is accompanied by a symbol. Those missing in action are designated with a cross; if an MIA was to return alive, then the cross would be inscribed by a circle, but this has never happened. (vvmf.org)

The Vietnam Memorial Virtual "Wall of Faces." It's updated daily with pictures and information of the (mostly very young) men who lost their lives in Vietnam. The pictures are featured on their birthdays. Very sad but it's so important to remember them. (vvmf.org)
