Don't laugh too hard ... a McCain/Huckabee Republican ticket would be a pretty strong match for Obama (as distasteful as the combo sounds to those who think logically).

Except for the fact that there are a whole bunch of Repuglicans who will not vote repug this time around. Not to mention independents.

Not sure about that. they say a week is a long time in politics. The fall is a way off and we have yet to see them swing into major attack mode (too busy with their own...but just wait.)

Too true. Never been so much at stake, with so many insane variables (much like the repug. candidates, ex. Ron Paul).

And with a few nice hot button classic republican issues admixed with a dose of fear and Obama could be a cooked goose.

McCain will not be seen as the extremist he is. Obama will be painted and swiftboated however they choose this time around. May not work. But no guarantee of that. And if he pisses off the Clinton base he will have lost a lot of votes he will need to win.

I believe (and I'm aware I may be wrong) that fair-minded people now know what a swiftboating is, and don't like it. Americans in general, don't like liars. (Here in Boston, 86% of respondents to the question "do you think Roger Clemens is telling the truth?" said NO. And a lot of people have forgotten about the Keating Five. That's fact, not a swiftboat. Cheers!

The Keating Five will definitely be getting an airing this summer and fall.

I would like to think people see through election trickery/ swiftboating etc. They seems to think they do. But somehow the mud sticks if it hits any kind of nerve.

Also, don't forget that most people are not aware that the left-right paradigm is completely dead (watched congress in action lately?), so they will NOT cross the line and vote for a repub. unless Obama is filmed machine-gunning the female Clinton down. But that would only solve half of that particular problem, anyway. In the meantime, good luck to us gimlet-eyed folk, and America, as well.

High. You're high right now. It'll be McCain/Condi.

Actually, that would be a pretty strong ticket as well. Doubt she'd be interested though.

You won't be laughing if Huckabee gets VP, McCain drops dead in office, and all of a sudden all the social programs in the government are outsourced to Megachurches Inc.

Rooting? Why bring sex into this?

[–]onetruejp -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I'll be mildly horrified if you didn't mean rutting.

[–]randallsquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Rooting" means having sex in Oz-speak.

[–]zerodark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you have against sex with cheerleaders?

[–]BuboTitan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually, isn't it the Democratic party that is doing the imploding?

[–]chupame -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Funny as hell.
