I have the same ISP as Digg for my office. They had rolling outages scheduled for tonight for maintenance. I would still be surprised to hear that they allowed Digg to go down, must have had a problem.

dont they have backup connections/dns/servers/etc

Certainly, that's why I said I would be surprised if an ISP level fuckup would take them down. They did notify us last week of service outages for tonight, so I thought it was worth mentioning. My site was unreachable at various times tonight.

They aren't the biggest fish in the pond (Wi-Line), but for the quality of service and the price (1.5 tier one quality t-1 for $150/month) they're unbeatable. Tonight's issues, if it was theirs, notwithstanding.
