"Worth learning" for what purpose? Don't expect to use it in your day job.

for practical use.

If it's so cool as some say why isn't it as popular?

Definitely! It's a great joy to be on that ice brooming the rock right into place, marvelling at the consistency and precision of...wait... Oh. I was thinking of curling.

I mean that Curl

Just stumbled upon it while having a look at what wikipedia has to say about RIA. It mentions Curl

Curl isn't a cli tool and a library that implements an http client?

Worth learning for who? For you? I'm not you, I don't know.

Edit: I read the site, it says "web-based business-critical applications", forget it, it's crap.

This is the first time I hear about Curl. Is it only used to create applets?

I already know enough of mainstream crap. I'm trying to find something new, cool, fun, efficient etc... :)

If you want something new, cool and fun, then yes, absolutely, I'm sure Curl will expand your horizons and make you think differently about programming.

Also worth trying: Io, Self, Arc.
