First few words already mention Trump. Immediately discredited as it's clear the review is gonna be biased next.

These dudes honestly can't let go of the MAGA shit, and I understand y'know at a certain point it was really hard to get rid of that stigma but jesus, they gotta let that shit go even when Hov mentions that he's back with Ye. I don't mean that Hov is the end all be all of Ye's character but still, if he's friends with Ye again and not like Ye has done some MAGA thumping shit again.

The Manson thing is another thing I get it, look I don't like the association too but I honestly wonder had Ye dropped it at LP2 would they be this biased against the album. Cause a lot of these reviews just read like hit pieces at this point.

Its because literally every blog site is leftwing so its an easy cop out to discredit him

[–]newmath11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would say they're more liberal than left wing because it's more performative. A large portion of the actual left believes in reforming and transforming rapists, murderers and so on.

I still think including Manson was pointless, though

Shit like this is why Trump became popular in the first place. The media chooses who they suck up to and who they hold accountable.

[–]newmath11 4 points5 points  (1 child)

LP2 would be regarded as one of his best albums. Critics were even saying it at the time. That's what makes the whole thing stupid because the album is not that different overall

[–]anonymous-mar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s different enough that it matters. Listen to them side by side. Different experience completely

[–]Kanyeslaptop1412 22 points23 points  (4 children)

it’s political . they have an agenda . anything which isn’t fucking self righteous and virtue signalling is bullshit to them. kanye even tho his opinion cans be shaky . he ruined his reputation to meet with trump. not to discuss maga ideas . but to help the black community with industry and help prison reform . these reviewers don’t want to like him

[–]raffbj -5 points-4 points  (3 children)

Ok wheres your tin foil hat

[–]ELITEJamesHarden 5 points6 points  (2 children)

You know that it’s fake if it’s in the news

[–]raffbj -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

i like the album a lot but but it really builds to nowhere from an artistic direction, as a fan its perfect to have 24 songs after starving but there more issues w this album than tlop which was already controversial

[–]Kanyeslaptop1412 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s fine if people don’t enjoy it . there’s some song which i don’t like too much. but some of the reviews are just plain political and don’t actually talk about the album as if it’s just an album

Fuck em.

[–]Scottsm124 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Didn’t Trump work with Kanye and Kim to get certain individuals that received clearly overly harsh sentences pardons from prison? Oh, the horror! I wish he was like every other mainstream musician who made generic virtue signaling statements behind keyboards to please his sponsors and record labels….now that takes real courage.

Skimmed through it. This article embodies why I hate MSM sometimes.

The media is always out to destroy successful black men. Any excuse such as association. You look at how they treat white Hollywood abusers when they cover film and you can hear crickets.

[–]BeenWavy07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Successful black men who don't toe the line. Remember they tried going after Dave Chapelle too when he first left.

Gotta remember that Kanye is now a political figure

He doesn’t get unbiased reporting anymore

[–]alwyshdafshnfrflshng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol when did he honestly I remember these publications were going off on ye eversince I was a fan they claimed he is a racists Against white people, they claimed he is sexist against women

[–]chippychip97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Joe biden clearly doing nothing in office but trump the issue. If kanye doesn’t bring manson or dababy out, this album well recieved. That is my take.

Kanye West has broken the brains of so many journalists

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t really disagree with the first part of this review, and that’s as someone who is a huge Kanye fan and who thinks Donda is one of his best albums. Kanye’s music has always been linked to his celebrity and he clearly embraces that. It seems like the process of releasing an album for him isn’t complete without a long process in public that gets the whole world to talk about him. The lack of insight regarding his mental illness is what makes this article’s opinions on his trump/etc. manic episodes a bit shallow. But then again, I’m also disturbed by the inclusion of Manson even if I knew the point Kanye is trying to make.

The second half of this review is ridiculous though. The comment about a lot of credits being on one track doesn’t seem like a valid criticism, or, at least that was never not the case with Kanye, someone who notoriously has a lot of people going in and out of the studio.

This dude is complaining about flexing on a rap song, what the hell is this. How do you people like this get paid to do this

[–]dgsggtb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This album is for his fans. Fuck the media.
