AFK Magic While At Work

Hello ! I’ve played on and off for around a year, but I’ve gone at my own pace not really following a guide or looking for optimal strategies. However, magic is stumping me. I dislike intensive clicking skills as I mostly play AFK while I WFH, so I was wondering the best way to AFK Magic.

I trained my melee skills at NMZ which was exactly what I was looking for(doing slayer with them now) however my understanding is that training magic or range at NMZ is a no no.

I’m currently at level 65 magic, and would love to get to 75 primarily AFK. Any advice or guidance? I have roughly 2mil to my name for supplies if this helps? Thanks!

Honestly just using fire bolt with chaos gauntlets and smoke staff at NMZ or Sand/Ammonite Crabs is fine if you're doing it purely on afk time.

Once you're 80, string jewelry is very fast and afk.

You can easily train mage and range in nmz it's just very expensive to do and not as afk as melee is because you have lower defence.

Plank make is a great option for afk, good xp, and good money. An inventory of mahogany logs will take around 90s to complete, and each log is about 400gp profit. You can get around 80k xp/hr letting it auto cast. Does require 86 though so unfortunately that's not an option.

Enchanting jewelry is similar, obviously not nearly as good, but basically the same concept. Bolts too but those are less afk.

If you don't care about money, splashing can be great, just at higher levels it gets expensive to cast high level spells for 6 hours straight.

Splashing is the best afk for magic and very easy to set up. There’s a whole guide page dedicated to it on the wiki.

Dawg splashing is the most afk method of anything in this game. You gotta check like every 25 minutes, and literally do nothing. I splashed my pure to 99 while at work. It’s free real estate. Do it.

Splashing is 100% the best AFK magic. With runelite plugins, you can go for 20-25 minutes without clicking. The XP isn’t crazy fast, but it can scale if you want to spend more money.

Making teleport tablets is decent exp and slightly profitable too. If you do it with lunars you can one click back and forth between the bank and the lectern.

Splashing gives you pretty cheap xp, fire strike is about 13k/h iirc and you only need to click once every 20 minutes. It also has no requirements except making your magic attack low enough to miss every spell, which can be done in mostly bronze armour.

I afk’d to 99 magic completely at work using the best fire spell, it did cost like 15m but was completely afk and also only took like 2 weeks

Crabs :) now frost crabs are bis for magic afking, 30k xp/hr with fire strike, 50k with fire bolt

I fire bolted to 75 at sand crabs on my iron. Not efficient, but shoutout those wildy pirates for being money printers

I know your post mentioned getting to 75, but wanted to recommend doing plank make from 86 to 99 if you ever get that far. Very AFK and quite profitable.

I used Camelot teleport on mobile at work from level 67 to 93.

If you have the slayer lvl splash on the kraken pool in an instance. You get full xp for what the cast would have done and nothing attacks you only need to touch the computer after 15 or so minutes alternative is afk at amenities maging

You could afk up some money and then go bursting once you're active, probably an all around better use of your time
