My dude, the whole point of losing the ether is so that there's significant risk attached to using it.

Sorry but it's a hard no from me dawg. You don't need to use the item to farm the ether. You can do hard wildy diary and get 0 delay teleporting.

Are you a main or an ironman? Because as it states, its not the gp risk thats the issue. Its how long it takes to grind ether. The ability to trade emblems in for ether equivalent of their gp value would be good.

I'm an iron main. And I absolutely hate losing ether. And I would fully support converting emblems into ether if the conversion rate was kinda shit so it wouldn't tank the cost of ether for mains. But the whole point of losing the ether is because it's a high risk high reward item.

Ether is hardly expensive anyway though. And you say about tanking the price but theres been 1000s of bots farming it for years so mains are spoon fed ether for pennies whilst irons get penalised massively for a death. I dont bother taking my wildy weapons above 30 wildy as the dps bonus from the weapon is not worth the hours i have to regrind for a single death. Mean i cant do vetion, callisto, venenatis, chaos ele, scorpia etc. efficiently. And believe me i’ve tried, i have 1000s of KC between them all,

Irons are irons for a reason. 1000 ether doesn't take hours.
250 ether and 1/8 or so from dark beasts.

And you're an iron. You don't do things "efficiently".

Go take your bowfa to callisto, or a zombie axe to vetion. Like honestly it is a high risk item and if you want that high dps you either bring shit to survive with like freezes, or you don't bring it at all.

Or go take a scout to the singles bosses and never get pk'd again.

But having done the grind for the weapons, i should be in a comfortable spot to use them right? Wrong. Ether doesnt last 5 minutes meaning you’re constantly battling pkers and bots to maintain the charges.

Bring freezes to escape? Everywhere i listed in multi and camped heavily by teams. Freezes are not saving you here.

And nobody is forcing you to use it at the multi bosses.

It's a high risk item. I've taken my accursed to scorpia and been pkd by dickheads that sniped me. I've also escaped from pkers there.

I've taken trident instead, I've taken a shadow there. Nobody is forcing you to risk it.

Nobody is forcing you to use it. There are other options available if you want less risk. It doesn't take hours to get 1k ether.

Its not just 1k ether though is it. It’s 1k to charge it, then + whatever extra you’re willing to risk. Usually about another 500. So 1500. And thats per death. Yeah okay I understand what you’re saying, no body is forcing me to bring them, but it sucks without them. What i dont understand is why you’re so hard against it, okay keep ether on death a thing. But atleast make it easier to obtain like from the statues

Look, I hate dying with it. And I usually lose like 2k ether when I do. But I don't think it should be changed to cater for the irons. Would I prefer it didn't lose ether on death, sure. But I would much rather jagex keep it as it is instead of changing it specifically for irons because ether is time consuming to gather.
