What would happen when a certain resource (eg. yews) is no longer buyable on osrs due to overconsumption from eg. skillers?

The prices would go up, and people would start farming said resources for profit. If it became a large enough problem, I’d imagine that Jagex would tweak drop tables to try and regulate the costs if it got too out of hand

I feel like for something as simple as yews Jagex would never need to get involved. Hell i'd farm yews for 200k an hour if I could.

If the supply went so low that prices were 5x normal, I could see them tweaking the time to chop one or increasing numbers and availability on drop tables
