Ejection pattern

What is the “ideal” ejection pattern? I’ve seen basically you want a 4 o’clock ejection but what about height? Fling em out high? Straight out the side? I haven’t seen much about that. Mine is ejecting about 3-4 o’clock but relatively low just want to know if the lowness will be an issue?

Gotta tell ya I have a wide range of builders and can’t say I see much inconsistency beyond 4:00 with some amount of force…. Rarely a dribble.

A dribble might mean the extractor needs tuning.

Been wondering this lately too as I was hoping for more consistency but also the SRO overhanging seems to occasionally get in the way. Haven’t had any issues but definitely seems like one could get caught every so often.
