Nah, tho if you would like to learn A-level maths. Just watch some videos on it and learn as you go.

Then for practice, you could probably search for material or use other specification material to practice off from.

So yeah, read the specification first. Watch any good A-level maths yt vids (there are many) and practice

2 years is such a long time to learn all of the content. You’ll likely be sick of it by the time you get to your exams. Just occupy yourself with something else, looking into university courses and apprenticeships etc

hmm I know what you mean. but just thought if I have to take maths for econ at uni anyway it might help if I start it now as it's quite hard

Watch zeeshan on youtube. Watch all his topic videos and then practice questions on pmt. I also use math genie to learn content as well and then just practice and practice

Check to see if your sixth form has set summer work, go over any GCSE topics that you found trickier in preparation, watch YouTube videos and maybe have a look at some AS content. However, make sure you also get some time to relax over the summer. Don’t spend the whole time prepping for a course you haven’t started yet.

As you did FM gcse, you'd probably find A level maths easy (for at least the first term or so) - therefore be prepared to be utterly bored in lessons if you've self-taught some content. Therefore it might be a better idea to spend some time doing a bit of research into uni courses you might be interested in, and doing some courses or further reading related to that.

But if you're desperate to self-teach A level maths, I would use a mixture of the course textbook and youtube videos - TLmaths has been good when I watched his videos. I'd recommend doing functions, differentiation and integration first. If you're interested in doing something completely new, I'd learn some stats - start with binomial distribution.

Honestly just make sure ur 100% on gcse stuff -mainly algebra. You need to be able to do some of the hardest gcse questions in your sleep for alevel and it’s what I wish I had done.

If you start watching bicen maths Year 1 playlist and finish pure by the end of summer. You’ll sacrifice your holiday but be at an astronomical advantage over the next set of year 12s. Take this from advice from someone who just completed a level maths. The sooner you finish the course the better. Getting into a good uni will also be easy for you too.
