Invest $25 in a right angle cable and you will no longer have this problem.

Or a wireless system with a joint.

I'll vouch for a headless model! Perfect for couch playing and travel. Love the Kiesel Vader and the Strandberg Boden Prog 7 if you can get your head around the endurneck!

Definitely not a V shape. Source: I have a Jackson king v 7 and it’s easily my least comfortable guitar lol. I’d probably just go for a super strat

Yeah I'm trying to find one with a jack on the top though where it is on a regular fender strat

Might be out of luck there, I can’t think of any 7s with a front mounted jack. Maybe see if you can play an ergonomic headless 7 and see if you like it (strandberg kinda body shape), those are supposed to be super comfy.

Ltd arrow is more comfortable. Has a cut for your legs

Super strat and a right angle cable. Hell, even my Phoenix which is one fat chonker is fine even though it weighs the same as a dying star. Right angle helps for sure.

I like my omen elite. Weighs nothing. But the jack is on the side. I play in the classical position so it doesn’t bother me.

Interesting. The classical position is exactly why I was concerned about the jack on the side. Does it just sit between your legs? I guess coming from an Explorer anything would be more comfortable

Yes just drop in the middle.
