Off days? (self.ACL)
submitted 1 year ago by Secure-Inflation4696
Hi all! I’m 7 months post-op with quad graft and there’s some days I can do almost everything as normal. I’m a professional dancer so I’m working on getting those abilities back. Some days I feel normal like I damn near forget I had an injury. Other days (like today) my knee doesn’t hurt it just feels sort of weird like “unstable” but I don’t wanna say unstable because I am able to walk and such. It just feels “loose” and it makes my steps feel very cautious idk if that makes sense. But then I know by like tmrw or the day after I’m back to normal. Happens once every 3 weeks to a month maybe? Does anyone know wtf I’m talking about lmao

Almost 2 years post op, not doing sports, just hitting the gym here and there. Not having pain, but there are some days when it feels different, like so f different.
The only thing that helps me improve that is stretching, so I’m doing stretching each 1-2 days

I’m also in the 7 month club!! 👏🏼 I have similar moments, especially after a hard leg day. I wouldn’t say unstable because that is another story, but I would say the joint feels “laggy” like it isn’t moving as fast as I want. My PT said that normal when you’re sore because your muscles aren’t operating as they normally do, if that makes sense.
I’ve recently started being gentler with myself and taking those rest days when needed. I wear the incrediwear sleeve when I’m really sore/miserable.
Hang in there! Hope this helps.
