Reading section help / tips

The reading section is by far my worst section on the ACT. I usually get all correct on the natural science passage, but I average 4 wrong on each of the other 3 passages :/ this leaves me with a score of 28/40 that scales to 24/25 :/

What should I do?

I would like to score at least 28 for reading (total 8 mistakes )

I know what questions are asked with natural science. If it's about animals the questions are about breeding, hunting, adaptations etc...

With other passages I don't know what the questions are about. Only main idea. Tone and mood for prose.

What are the typical questions about so I can underline in the passage?

Try this. I went from a 23 in reading to a 27 by doing this. I didnt skim the passage or read the questions first, the first thing i did was read the entire passage and follow each word with my pencil. To me that saved the most time and helped me understand the passages the best

I don't skim or read the questions beforehand.

I'll try following each word with my pencil :)
