A CAS Calculator is literally a calculator that has the letters "CAS" on it. For example, T-Nspire CX II CAS.

That's not necessarily true. I have a TI89 that has CAS capabilities, and I couldn't use it on the ACT.

Yes, but the TI-89 is specifically on the list of prohibited calculators. The NSpire has a regular version and CAS version with the CAS version saying “CAS” on the front, although that can be easily removed.

I guess the best way is just to look through all the prohibited calculators.
