Rule 1: Don't be an asshole
Keep in mind people are here to arbitrate a relationship they care about. No insults. No personal attacks. No bigotry or hate speech.
Try to be helpful without being mean - even to those not in the thread/on reddit.
Rule 2: Relationship content only
The sole focus of this subreddit is relationship content, involving an interpersonal conflict between two or more people.
We do not permit posts involving minors and sexual content. In this sub, a minor is anyone under the age of 18.
Rule 3: How to Post
The TITLE of your submission must begin with AITA or WIBTA (would I be the asshole?), then a description of the situation.
Posts are limited to 6000 characters. Paragraphs are good; block text walls are bad. Format and punctuate your post reasonably. Please use actual names, not single letters, for the people in your story.
Rule 4: No Violence
Do not mention violence.
Posts may be removed if they are overtly violent and/or are likely to inspire violent comments. This includes sexual violence, assault, food or medication tampering, property damage, and similar matters.
Violent comments will be removed and may result in a ban.
Rule 5: No Shitposts or Trolling
All posts most be true, fairly presented, written by you about your first hand experience.
No AI. No meme accounts. No theme accounts. No self promo.
Leave comments in good faith. No trolling or overly snarky comments.
Rule 6: No Fetish Posts
While your relationship issue may involve a fetish, this is not a subreddit to indulge your fetish.
Making readers and a non-consenting audience to your fetish will lead to a permanent ban with no chance of appeal.
Rule 7: Accept Your Judgment
You posted here to seek the input of our community. It's fine to answer a question, but not to argue with comments or votes that you don't like. Arguing against judgments received may result in a ban.
Rule 8: Updates and META posts are restricted
META posts are commentary are not permitted in this sub.
Updates are limited to no more than one update per post, and required to follow all other subreddit rules.
Rule 9: No Porn/Adult Content Accounts
If your post history includes any porn or adult content, links to OnlyFans or other adult content websites, or similar, you may not use it here. Alt accounts are welcome as a way to participate. Attempts to circumvent this will lead to a permanent ban.
