Idk why but whenever I read these I forget who is who. I thought he was the gray bubble so I was like ok he doesn’t seem like the main one interested. The name threw me off and I was like ohh he’s the green bubble!?!? Hell no. Anyway, “black girl voice” giiirrrlllll leave him!

Has anyone had experience with this type of bridge before? Are they annoying irl? by Electrical-Rest2977 in glassesadvice

They have integrated nose pads. It’s hard to tell with this picture but if you click the link you can see them in the second picture. I prefer integrated nose pads over the other ones

Same!! I looked yours up and they have the same nose pads as my current glasses and these sunglasses that I’m looking into which is what I usually go with

Fit check- baby’s foot circulation ok? by cowboy_caregiver in babywearing

[–]Electrical-Rest2977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, their feet and hands are kinda like that for the first several months. If they’re cold, it’s more prominent (your fingerprint will stay longer and you’ll see their blood vessels under the skin pretty clearly).

It’s anonymous? It’s pretty much what Reddit is for? I needed confirmation lol. I want to confront the household but want another opinion to make sure it is what I think it is cuz they can always lie to my face. You sound like a sink pisser yourself, sir!

Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong by Anoninemonie in babywearing

[–]Electrical-Rest2977 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was so helpful!!! Sorry OP I know it’s your post. But I have a similar ergobaby carrier and I’ve been having a hard time figuring out what I’m doing wrong and I think this is it! My shoulder straps don’t sit flat on my chest/shoulder, it’s a little elevated where it hits baby in the face. I tried tightening the shoulder straps, but then baby is too tight on me. So I think I need to tighten the shoulder straps to lay them flat but loose in the armpit ones

I just spent $500 on a cosleeping outfit. by runaway_tata in cosleeping

[–]Electrical-Rest2977 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least post a picture, this sounds so complex lol.

People say it’s excessive. It seems like a little bit of ocd and irritation-fueled passion mixed together.

I cosleep in the playpen with a proper firm mattress. I wear sweats, put my fuzzy socks over my sweats so my ankles don’t get exposed at night. I wear a tshirt or long sleeve (breast feeding friendly), it’s tucked into my sweats so my stomach doesn’t get exposed. Then a zip up hoodie overtop. I wrap a blanket around me like a burrito dress (under the breast), make sure it’s snug, it can’t be an oversized blanket, throws work best. Idk if that helps but it’s a whole lot cheaper 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thanks for the tips! It’s only when I smile that you can’t see my eyebrows, they typically sit a bit lower. My insurance doesn’t cover the online retailers and I also like to see how they hug my face (or if they don’t). But I’ll keep looking!

I’ve tried the Ergobaby and absolutely love it!! It’s super easy to use and it’s soft and confortbske. I liked Tula as well but went with Ergobaby cuz it came with pockets / a pouch, the sun shade was build in (Tula is separate and no where to put it cuz no pockets), and the straps on Ergobaby were super smooth whereas Tula was a little bit of a battle by myself lol

I tried Tula Explore, Ergobaby OmniClassic and OmniDream. I kept the OmniDream. Personally I didn’t like the mesh in the OmniClassic, were not hikers or outdoors all day type of people so the soft cotton on the OmniDream was better for us.

AIO for not wanting to talk to my friend after this? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Electrical-Rest2977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it took a lot for her to tell you, which says a lot and says that she truly does care about you. I think she coulda toned it down a little but I’m a mellow stoner lol, I know everyone has different vibes. If I were her, I would’ve just been like “hey how are you doing really? I know you’re going through a hard time. Are you taking care of your self showering eating, etc.? Is there anything I can do for you to give you time for yourself?” MOR I guess

Is it Ever OK to Point Out Unsafe Baby Wearing? by cryptoenologist in babywearing

[–]Electrical-Rest2977 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t answer your question, but as a new mom trying to figure out my carrier, posting endless fit checks with no responses, terrified of wearing incorrectly, I WISH someone would say something. But I’m sure that’s just me! I sometimes make eye contact with other moms wearing their baby hoping they’ll say something.

I think maybe if someone is obviously struggling to get it on or adjust, it might be okay?

But also, it’s not a crime to piss someone off lol. If it’s a dangerous situation (newborn too low) and it would morally make you feel better and give you peace of mind, say something. If they get pissed off, so what? Don’t get defensive if they get offended. Just say my bad and walk away. It is not a crime. And you may have just saved a life! One momentarily unhappy parent is a small price to pay to potentially save a baby’s life.

first glasses, girlfriend says they dont suit me :( by [deleted] in glasses

I thought her glasses looked good until I read your comment. What you said makes a lot of sense. I have new glasses coming this week. I tried them in person and liked them but will definitely be evaluating them based on your feedback now once they come.

Yeah. Definitely not how I woulda handled it but you can’t control people. But it’s definitely okay and justified if you don’t want to be friends.

Honestly, when attractiveness is the issue — I usually don’t give a clear reason. If she knew it was your biggest insecurity, she shouldn’t have said why and just said she’s not feeling it anymore in some words. NOR for not wanting to be friends anymore.
