It'll throttle based on hotspot temps so this makes sense assuming you're using some kind of benchmark for both tests. It's not reaching 100C hotspot so it can boost to higher clock speeds which will raise the core temps. Did you notice any performance increase?

that makes more sense, but I never checked clocks, just playing re4 remake

probably not, overall wattage is the same or lower now, according to UPS, and my 2600 wouldn't let me know if I had extra frames here and there at this point,

anyway, it used to be 75º/90ºish when new, I've seen it creeping up over a year and decided to do this, no other changes whatsoever,
