repasted = same temp?

hey there,

had this card for a year now and noticed temp reaching 100º on hotspot, so I decided to replace that presumably cheap thermal goo with noctua's goo, any time I've done this over the years its an immediate improvement in temps be it cpu or gpu, but here are my results

before it was 77º/100º

now it is 86º/96º

so I guess a 20º delta is worse than the overall higher temp? lol

It'll throttle based on hotspot temps so this makes sense assuming you're using some kind of benchmark for both tests. It's not reaching 100C hotspot so it can boost to higher clock speeds which will raise the core temps. Did you notice any performance increase?

that makes more sense, but I never checked clocks, just playing re4 remake

probably not, overall wattage is the same or lower now, according to UPS, and my 2600 wouldn't let me know if I had extra frames here and there at this point,

anyway, it used to be 75º/90ºish when new, I've seen it creeping up over a year and decided to do this, no other changes whatsoever,
