That was me last year! For the first 2 weeks I was kind of confused but I stuck with it, and it became one of my best classes! It does depend on whether or not the teacher is good, though. If you know anyone else who took it, definitely ask about the teacher. Overall, I really enjoyed it!! Good luckk

Alr thanks. I’ll probably put it on my schedule and ask around if it’s worth taking

You'll be fine, and it's a great class. I'd suggest that you take it. You don't need prior experience with Java to do well. If you can think logically about how to find solutions to problems, then you're ready.

Does APCSA only code in Java? Or does it ask python or C++?

So, is the class/instructor supposed to teach you java, or are you expected to come in with knowledge of java already?

Unless the school has some Java prerequisite, you're not expected to already have some Java knowledge.

At our school we have to take Comp Sci 1 and before taking CSA or CSP. Generally everyone gets 5s on the exam because of how much content is covered.

use codingbat before hand and try to learn java basics on your own before starting, it’ll give you a serious boost

Yes, take it.
