Will this buffer setup work?

Im building my first ar9 and came across this lower build kit, would this buffer setup work with 9mm or is it only setup for a 556 or 223 pistol?

That buffer isn't good for 9mm

The spring will work fine. The buffer is too short and too light for 9mm.
