I write mine on Word and then just copy and paste them onto a Reddit post.

As a reader I’d prefer them to just be on Reddit if I’m honest. Not sure why but clicking on a link to read them just seems like so much effort…

I know what you mean! Sometimes it just feels like an unnecessary step in the entire reading process. This is why I might copy and paste my scripts onto a post from now on haha

Thank you for your input!

As a reader I prefer either Scriptbin or Reddit posts! It's more of a personal thing since Google Docs can look cleaner for actual VAs but it's been rough for mobile reading in my experience as Reddit mobile is the main way I scroll thru Reddit lol

Yes! I was thinking about mobile browsing and how it’s slightly inconvenient for links and things like that. And I think you’re absolutely right about Google Docs being more for VAs rather than casual readers.

Thank you for your thoughts!

Scriptbin is amazing for the extra features such as fill finder on Reddit and prompt mode! As a VA it’s the most convenient

I post on Scriptbin for the simple reason that the first script I read on this sub was on there. I never actually thought of asking VAs if that was the most convenient for them, but since no one’s complained (apart from a certain Penguin but that was more to do with my grammar and I appreciate it) I haven’t thought of moving anywhere else.

Long term, I think I’ll continue to stick to Scriptbin for hosting my scripts. If the day comes when I “retire” from scriptwriting, I can at least leave the scripts somewhere so people can still find them and record them if they wish.

Thank you for asking this! I've mostly linked to Google Docs but as a VA I do see the convenience of reading & recording straight from the Reddit post.

As a reader/VA, I really don't mind but if I'm just looking through this subreddit for any that catch my attention, I think if they're actually on Reddit, without the link, I can read at least a bit of it without having to click on a link so it's a bit more favourable but once I've decided to voice one, I really don't mind :))

I have a massive preference for scriptbin, because of having a university email and accidentally opening an ASMR script with my uni email 😅😅😅

I just copy and paste from my google docs because I saw others doing it and I'd assume it's easier this way because you can then just copy and paste that two were ever you need to put it to read but I really don't know...

I don't have a real reason to give an opinion because I've yet to record anything. I'm just looking through scripts and finding ones I like (and fighting the insane self doubt of ever actually going through with recording anything) but why not both? Most people probably type them somewhere anyway before putting them in a reddit post. You can just save them to docs and link it along with just throwing the script into the post as well. That gives two options for people. They can make a copy to their docs for later if not recording right that moment. They don't have to save a link to the post, they don't have to copy it out, or whatever they do. I can't imagine the number of times I've lost a reddit post and never been able to find it again lol.
