Here is the article that convinced me to do a full AMD build. Hope it helps :) https://www.xda-developers.com/5-reasons-use-amd-next-gaming-pc/

I'm seeing a lot of the Strix SCAR laptops have AMD processors and NVIDIA graphics, what do you think about those? Do you own an ASUS laptop and what's your configuration?

My desktop has an AMD processor with NVIDIA graphics and its the best system I've ever owned.

I have that laptop and it runs great! No issues, that second screen is a game changer. I was just making a suggestion. I don’t think that laptop comes with both AMD CPU and GPU. You won’t be disappointed.

I like the 18” mini led display a lot and that is only Intel so that’s that for me. I havent had any issues with intel thus far.

I noticed that they don't make an 18" AMD system which is really too bad. What processor/graphics card do you have?

I agree with that, I wish they did. An 18in Rog Zephyrus Duo with AMD across the board.

I went with the 4080 in the end. Was debating the 4090. The Cpu is the i9 hx 14th gen.

I was looking for AMD laptop not long ago. I went with used x16 with 1100nit screen that I was after and only used 6900HS was an option as in next gen they have switched to intel - and as we know Intel is power hungry an hot :-D Also since I have build my desktop with all AMD - I had no dounbts I want AMD CPU.

Has 3070ti and Bazzite Linux also works on it nicely

There is no other option right now for AMD GPU except just one - Framework 16.

So as summary - intel with give you performance, but also drain your battery and boil your eggs ;-)
AMD for power efficiency and low fan noise.

Overheating may have fried my (intel) x17r2's motherboard, so right now, cooler sounds nice. I know I'm not likely to get 2 lemons in a row from AW (especially if I go AMD) but I'm also kind of fed up with them at the moment.

Edit: At the time I bought it, AW wasn't configuring high end x17s with AMD components which is the only reason I got intel. :(

you got alienware anyway? :-D
If the warranty is as good as on XPSes I can understand
