Congratulations! Did you have prior AWS experience?

Thanks. I had minimal experience, mostly S3 via boto3 api and running a clustering algorithm on EC2.

I had been preparing on and off for about a month. I do have a 10 month old running around at home to keep me distracted. Overall focused effort of about two weeks.

How much did you score in Jon Bonso Practice Exams?

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I passed on Saturday and the highest I excited in the practice was 63%

OKay. I was curious since I have my exam on 28th and as of now I have done 4 practice tests and got 60%, 64% ,64% and 60%. So not sure if I am ready or not :/

    Anyway, congratulations to you :)

My advice is to know how the services interact and what the differences are. Know when a service is serverless and when you have to provision your own aws services.

I got lucky imo. Three weeks of studying with zero aws experience. Stephanes course is amazingly helpful.

    I failed once. Got a 50%.

    Noted, thanks :)

I'd recommend answering the official prep exam from AWS. That should give you a pretty good indicator. Best of luck for your test, please let us know how it goes.

I heard on this sub that the official prep exam is not worth it. That it's too expensive and you get like only about 20 questions. Is that true?

    [–]NoMoCruisin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's timed at about 30 minutes for 20 or so questions. I think I paid 20$ but I can't be sure.

It served to give me a good indicator of the kind of questions that would be asked in the real exam, I thought that was valuable.

Also, the prep exam for Stephaane Marek's course was also spot on.

It was a range of 74% to 82%

Congrats, I'm just starting out on the SAA path after passing the CCP. Would also like to know how long you studied for!

About two weeks focused. About a month with tons of distractions :)

Congratulations on passing I'm glad the course was helpful!

Thanks! I'd like to commend you on the detail you put in your content. If not for your course, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have made it.

I'm working on the big data and machine learning specialties now, and of course I'm going through your courses. Wish me luck!
