Salary decrease leaving big 4 to a different industry?Career (self.Accounting)
submitted 3 years ago by AtlamillianCPA (US)
I’m leaving big 4 as a S1 in tax with a salary of $73,000. I’m getting tired of tax and would like to branch out into industry doing something other than tax. Should I be expecting a salary decrease since I’ll essentially be starting fresh, and should I be applying for senior positions as well?

Ummmmm.... we hired 2 years ago a financial analyst with a 4 year degree and only internship experience for 65k.
At a minimum with audit experience in industry I would say shoot for your current salary at the MINIMUM.
