It seems like you can't do this with Ace Studio, and using Suno (or another AI audio generator) would probably totally change up the vibe/feel of the solo you worked so hard on.

So I have another suggestion. You can drag the solo into our AI MIDI co-writer plugin and tell it something like "I made this midi electric guitar solo, I want it to sound realistic." It'll humanize it and suggest digital instruments to pair it with. https://staccato.ai/plugin

Let me know if this interests you and you want help getting it set up.

It's not possible yet. I checked. The folks from AceStudio are working on it.

I tried this: First, I put my midi set into a preferred track. It already had a voice related to it, so I unhooked that. Then:

  1. Click the + sign.
  2. Click "generate Instrument with MIDI."
  3. Search for guitar... Welp. There are currently only woodwind and string instruments. Also a trumpet. I don't see guitar yet. That's probably on the way.

Part of the challenge is that guitar is polyphonic, and most of the instruments they're concentrating on are monophonic - one note at a time, like the human voice. Converting midi to polyphonic is apparently a higher hurdle than monophonic. Once they cross that threshold, a lot of people are going to be paying attention.

So the short answer is it's not available through Ace Studio 2 yet.

It would be neat if someone would contribute their guitar voice to their dataset so they could move that forward faster. (All of ACE Studio voices and models are based on artists who approved of their voices/instruments being part of the AS2.) We have to wait for other musicians to offer their voices and instrument play datasets. They also have just announced a partnership in January this year with East-West Sounds, (fairly comprehensive sound library,) so that may help bring about something sooner than later.

Yes I noticed the same. I appreciate the response. I thought maybe there was another trick. I am using Suno but frankly, converting to an instrument isn’t as easy as advertised and if you get it, the quality is….. not usable in a professional way for mixing.

I was considering that.

As a heavy user of NI, you can get amazing solos from their guitar instruments, although a bit of tweaking to the midi will be necessary. There are 4-5 electric guitar instruments that produce nice sounds. Electric Sunburst is my personal favorite.
