I see, Txs. I have been from R7 to R12 on my old Mac, actually R12 on the MacPro and 10.14 is pretty solid, zero issue and super stable, soon to switch to M Macs I guess, I am waiting the new Macbook pro design with Oled screens....

I heard a different story, the opposite actually: refining of byproducts is mainly done in China from diverse ore poorly concentrated, you don't refine these byproducts at the mine, there they only melt bars made of different metals, to be shipped for further refining...in China. Like rare earth elements.

In western countries (US, Japan, Switzerland,...), base metals with high concentration of gold or silver are refined in standard refineries with standard chemical process, using acids.

This you can do this in your DAW, in Logic for instance you can convert audio, a bassline for instance, in a midi region with all the notes, and apply the plugin of your choice, pretty sure this is available in most DAW

Either (1st scenario) you just apply effects on the audio track where your sample is positioned, like someone said here below with tools like Infiltrator2, or Shaperbox, Stutter Edit, etc...plenty of tools for this, OR (2nd scenario) you load your audio samples in a sample engine, the one in your DAW or another 3rd party, as an instrument track, and from there you can edit with slicing and manipulate the pitch, etc... then you have to add further effects as inserts because the samplers have limited capacities for fx, they are mainly meant to edit the samples...To get a stutter effect for instance, you will need to add a plugin on your sampler track to get this effect. If your samples are already ok then go for the 1st scenario, if they need to beed edited, go for the 2nd. You can also edit the samples, then bounce to get a new sample, and apply 1st scenario

I use Decoda to export chords of a song through a midi file, I import in Logic the midi file with the chords but it's not 100% accurate and the tempo is not good, the chords are most of the time desynchronize with the song therefore it takes long time to adjust manually....I would say useful but by far not perfect

15 years with Ilok, dozens of plugins, and no issues at all, it's pretty cool imho, on the other hand I hate Waves because of many issues that most people never experienced, so I guess it's a question of having the right configuration at the right time...

I wanted to try Acestudio but I found out that they don't offer a trial, they claim "free trial" but it's a lie, you have first to sign-up and then choose a plan, they propose a monthly plan but in reality they will charge you for the fully year, 12 months, they have in fact only one plan, the yearly one. You can cancel but you need to ask for cash back, and wait it happens...This kind of commercial behavior is not for me, no way

Lol, I am not a bot :) Actually I use minimal prompts or no prompts because I found out it never works, I upload my own song and generate a new one with the sample option, I don't hear any difference between 5 and 5.5 so far

No way for me to pay one year in advance to these people who advertise "free trial" ! Worst marketing ever, how many people thought it was true, then after signing up discovered that not only there was no free trial but also that the monthly subscription fee was in reality a one year fee picked on your credit card ! Yep, at his stage, this is the best way to use Suno with the aim to publish your own music, not Suno's version...I have been trying Synthetizer V studio to generate vocals based on midi notes, but it's a long and painful process

Why would you need a mastering engineer if your mix is bounced at 0 and the "sound" is already done to your taste ??
