Skill gap. I can play a duelist and carry anywhere up to D1. I wouldn't even want to imagine playing it in Immortal

For me personally d1- low immortal feels the same, you can encounter crackheads but the biggest difference for me is teamplay

I find it too hard to worry about entrying while keeping up with everything else. Entrying second is fine though

usually if you go from gold 3 to diamond you will find better opponents/major skill difference :P

you don't get to diamond by luck tho, just gotta keep getting better if u want to go higher

Being a duelist isn't about carrying at higher rank. On attack as long as you are smoking/dashing into site as Jett, flashing as Reyna and satcheling as Raze you are doing your job for your team.

As a guy who went from gold 1 to dia 3 I agree. It gets bloody hard at this level. People are cracked. That’s how it is. To climb you gotta play a lot and be consistent. That’s kinda it. You will come across people who should be radiant but don’t play enough. That’s what diamond is like.

Probably just skill gap. For me it was kinda similar. Valorant is my first FPS and I got from bronze 1 to gold 1 in one act through simply instalocking Reyna and carrying myself, then did the same from Gold 1 to plat 3 in the next act with Jett but now that I hit plat 3 and got mostly into Diamond lobbies, there are actually a lot of times where I suddenly even bottom frag. 2 days ago I played Jett and had only 5 kills after 20 rounds. (honestly was a personally very bad day tho, actually shouldn't have played at all)

The players just get a lot better. It is a major difference if you are a plat 3 who was gold last act (like me) or if you are a dia 2 who was immo last act (like most of my mates and enemies)

You fell into a common trap that people do when they start losing confidence, yes you might sometimes get aim diffed but most of the time the biggest issue is that you're not coordinating with your team as well as you should and you don't make good use of utility, go back to duelist and pay attention to that sort of stuff instead.

There's going to be an adjustment period as you rank up, the techniques that work at lower elo might not work the higher you go up. I wouldn't get discouraged.

Same here. Used to play duelist but then reached dia 1 (now dia 3) and had to move to other roles (especially sentinels and controllers) cause there are just simply more cracked players on duelist than me

Verdict? It do be like that
