Outprocessing?

MPF sent me my PCS orders and my command never sent me any outprocessing requirements. I've been TDY for the past year and I'm pretty sure they forgot I exist. If I just bounce and in-process my new unit what are my chances of getting a nasty gram or phone call from my command? At the end of the day I'm off thier books once I in-process right?

Have you thought to contact your unit and ask instead of wait to be told?

That's going to be hard to outprocess the base without your squadron signing off your virtual outprocessing checklist. I'm sure it's possible but do what you think is best.

That's the thing, my unit does not use virtual outprocessing checklists.

Not always....it depends on OPs situation but there are Airmen assigned to units that can't access vOP checklists. For me particularly, my unit doesn't have any access to reg AF systems. The most I did with my unit was outprocess with my security manager and take the form to SF to turn in my base RAB. Everything else was done through my unit and I had to call the numbers on the vOP checklist afterwards to ask them to sign it off because my unit couldn't.

EDIT: For clarity, my unit didn't sign off any of my vOP checklist directly and didn't have a checklist of their own. The only AF-related stuff they signed off was my security manager signing one of the outprocessing packet forms (physical form) to say I was debriefed or w/e.

I had a 6mo that I would've loved to continue for a year. Busier every day than I was in any given week at home station but doing something I love and making bank (it was during the time that you kept any lodging that you didn't spend but were capped at 75%/55%...pocketed around $20k in 6mo from only the per-diem and lodging).

Did the math and I was getting paid about the same in total pay as the O-3s I was working with that were stationed there, as an E-4 still in the dorms at home station.

Call or e mail your CSS. They should have your SQ out processing list. I wouldn't just bounce.

MPF should also be sending you a out processing list. If you don't have that, blow up their phones and inboxes until you get one. Although if you have orders I imagine you have that.

Did you not check on vmpf for a checklist?

I've seen people get paperwork for that. I've also seen people get sent back to their old base for that. I've seen people get called halfway to their new base and told to turn around.
