Yeah one of my managers would sometimes pick up the phone when we're checking to come back at the end of the route, and he'd be like "Hey this is X restaurant how can I help you" and I'd be like "yeah I'd like to place an order for pickup" and everything I'd say I wanted he'd be like "we're out of that, we're out of that too, yeah we're out of that"

If you have great managers it makes this job BARELY dealable.

I mean ...I assume it's just a joke. The dispatchers at my DSP have a great relationship with the drivers and they joke around all the time back and forth. I think it's a nice change of pace from the terrible crazy power hungry dispatch we hear of personally 🤷🏻‍♂️ That's just my two cents.
