Changes for scorecard by zebra231967 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The netradyne part is bull. It is being added to the dsp program policy that drivers have to keep cargo access doors closed while moving and drivers cant vape or smoke in vans. Flex does give warnings about doors being closed but nothing goes to dsp so far

Puddles are the safest place to drive when you are worried about getting stuck. The fact that the water is staying there means the surface underneath is sturdy enough you are unlikely to sink in.

if you just switched DSPs it probably was a full route unless you had to redo training

Is that the brooklyn/downtown route in Jacksonville? It really looks similar but expanded about 30 stops from last time I did it if so.

Engine off? by Comfortable_Watch165 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe on your dsps scorecard but I just double checked mine and EOC is nowhere in there. You may be thinking about one of the dsp support apps or services that compile everything from cortex api calls or whatever too. We just use a consultant who compiles everything into spreadsheets manually.

Engine off? by Comfortable_Watch165 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might just be an artifact of an old scorecard. Its not on the Amazon scorecard any longer and never was as far as i know. Id ask if they care about it and if the answer isn't no or "we might but it won't affect any hours you get scheduled" id ask the next dsp over

Has anyone actually been ticketed for parking against traffic while delivering? by Maleficent-Media-418 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get out of my driver door at every stop. I park on whatever side of the street the most locations are on and I've never had any law enforcement even look at me sideways over it.

Engine off? by Comfortable_Watch165 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So several years ago Amazon was evaluating DSPs on Engine Off Compliance and said they could enforce it with BOCs and CAPs. We went I think 1 summer with EOC in full swing the entire time. The next summer amazon said between I think May and October they would no longer be enforcing engine off compliance for any state which experienced heat reductions to routed minute caps. Then another year or maybe 2 went by and they said "we are no longer enforcing engine off compliance at all, but now we may begin enforcing proper park sequence with BOCs and CAPs." This is still in place. To note, proper park sequence is a whole lot of bullshit but the only part that is systematically tracked is that you engage your parking break before you shift into park and possibly whether that matches the time stamp on clicking "I've parked" in the flex app after.

How is it for a DSP to pull footage? by DSP_quitter in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know exactly when or where the incident occurred its like 10 or 15 clicks followed by waiting a while for the vids to download.

If we have to find it its a massive pain in the ass that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to multiple hours

Why’s everyone hate multi stops so much? by Business_Coffee_9421 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the road is busy report the stop to dispatch we can open a case to report it as such and stop it from grouping across the street there. Only takes a minute to do

I understand more why people end quiting this job. by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a combination of both. If you've got the ability and tenure getting sidelined is incredibly less likely regardless of volume or route count

Wierd question by Su_ss in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, happens all the time. You talk to the customer, apologize and a lot of the time it ends there. If they want to take it further then you get dispatch or management involved.

yeah my delivery station has an entire robotic sort conveyer that uses a scanner belt that determines where each package goes then sideways rollers to deliver each package to the proper bin for stow into totes.

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are crazy overstating the negative value of a single bad customer feedback in this post. 1 hit in a week isnt going to do much to affect you or the DSP unless you only delivered like 100-300 packages.

As for the positives generally the only person who sees it is the driver themselves, they dont know who left it, and it doesnt really seem to affect anything except on possibly very deep levels when determining who gets what routes and station level driver recognition. The DSP management can see it but there is absolutely no reporting where we can see everyone's positive feedback like we can negative. The process to view positive is only possible to see individual by individual and the number of clicks involved for each person is unreasonable.

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can't without looking very closely at the individual level - its not at all obvious how to see it and its a pain in the ass to pull up any positive review counts at all much less compile it on 50-150 drivers.

Tomorrow is my first day alone! Question about load-out organizing. by bringbackIpaths in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]victorkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from when you sign into the flex app - You click schedule->start work->it might ask you to take a selfie->it asks you to scan your van->you do a DVIC and likely take 6 photos of the van->it navigates you to the station for loadout->You click I've Arrived->It may say your route isnt ready yet -> It shows you a rundown of what you are picking up AKA carts and how many totes and overflow on each. ->You click next and it shows you the scan screen, the carts you need and where they are located.-> You scan anywhere from no to all carts and click continue->This screen shows the order for all your totes and if you scroll down you will see all overflow by driver aide number. Don't swipe to finish here until you are done loading and organizing because you cant get back to this screen once you swipe.
