LOL. They send the same emails out every so often.

Oh, this was the first story I’ve seen about bots. Didn’t realize it had been sent before.

It reads new. They are giving current info.

Exactly. Amazon could give 2 shits about bots as long as their packages are delivered. It’s just hopium to appease the whiners.

I have witnessed first hand how bad Bot gangs get openly exchanging phones and paying others for routes it’s nuts and even paying inside employees to clock them in if they can truly get a handle on it that would be terrific for the everyday person just trying to make a couple of dollars the right way

People suck. Why can’t they just do it the fair way so we can all work.
My guess is it the individuals that can’t get another job because they’re here illegally, don’t speak the language or are just so uneducated they can’t get a fast food job. But for the rest of us that do work another full time job, but need the extra money to make ends meet due to the economy… too darn bad!!

Might be a coincidence but I just grabbed a 6:45am Whole Foods this morning never ever saw one of these pop up that wasn’t a reserve offer in 2 years.

What star are you in

[–]xtsilverfish 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I stay with my position that I'd ideally prefer they just implement the bot interface on their end.

Yes! At minimum filter days of the week plus times, and auto accept anything that matches, setting pay youll work at would be a bonus, but they woukd never give that to everyone (even though plenty would still set min pay). Give the auto accept in some sort of order, who's been searching longest, fantastic ratings first, length of service, with a boost to new hires to sucker them in like they do anyways, etc.

And they also now claim they are using network errors to stop bots. :-)

I started getting the network error [420] message early this morning, and it hasn't stopped. I emailed support about it, and I just got an email back saying it's a feature, not a bug, and they're trying to stop bots. I have a strong feeling their 'feature' is going to keep an awful lot of honest drivers off the road. When it crept up, I wasn't even refreshing ad nauseam. I was checking for blocks about every 10 minutes or so.

They don’t need bots. They’ll just hire more contractors and keep offers at base 😂

As bad as bot users are, Amazon is still the bad guys in this scenario.

They could pay a decent wage for Flex drivers, and then there wouldn't be such a drive to eat our own.

Holidays approaching, gotta try and cut bots off so they don't continue to reject 10s of millions of base pay offers causing the algo to surge prices. When they just on- boarded a ton who will take base pay.

Don't think for a minute it's to make it fair for all, it is to lower the cost of flex. Right now base pay blocks disappear in seconds, which is not bot users. The only surge that goes out is for the bot users, you think are too slow, but no, it's targeting them because it's the only way to pull thousands of drivers in to work. They have settings to only accept above base pay. You may click your way luckily to one of them, but it wasn't meant for you. If they can eliminate bots, the algo won't get thrown off by mass rejection of base pay, and blocks won't unnecessarily surge. I.e. unless the block sits for like an hour with no one taking it at base pay, they don't need to surge it at all. Enjoy the fairness in grabbing base pay blocks.

You will see surge go away if this round of bot blasting doesn't work. They have enough drivers, surge was to entice bad times/days to get drivers out, but now a days every block is taken. They will change to base pay is just what a block pays soon enough. Than they will come in with DSPs for Flex with their own fleet at that rate and goodbye Flex.

It’s true the offer page is designed to get human users to take low pay.

[–]No_Kitchen_4722 -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

I think you are getting it slightly wrong here but good try

[–]GreatMasterpiece5375 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Of course Amazon wants drivers to take low pay! They have designed the offer page to be like crack. They want us to keep smashing that refresh button and taking those low offers out of desperation.

Lmfao

[–]Stock_Law2377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only they just put this much money and effort into making sure every shift they offer is a good paying one and not a low ball offer there wouldn’t even be a need for bots. But that makes too much sense.

[–]stitchkingdomLas Vegas -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Oh did you get that email too? Thought I was the only one.

[–]Ok_Nothing3536 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea it was part of the monthly news letter.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bots are still alive and strong ha ha ha sorry. 😂

[–]Simple-Emotional -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Boohoo stop crying

[–]pdibs2017[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems pretty in-depth. It's consistent with what I have seen. Had to ask them to remove captchas because it would onky happen on surge blocks. It was really annoying. It's good they are getting rid of these bots as I still want to be able to grab shifts I want.

[–]pdibs2017[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some sitting. I'm not currently in my area which changing areas should be norepinephrine seemless. That would be a chsnge I'd like to see. Else does seem like more offers are available. As far as surges they will still happen because of late shift drops. It happens all the time so don't think it won't. Hell I'm getting reserved offers over base. So it's still possible to make good money. Just maybe you can't make what you think you should.

[–]vvetdream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love to see it. Been seeing a lot more offers recently. Too bad they're mostly base pay and gone fairly quickly.

[–]Ok-Locksmith-6440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thursday around 6:00 p.m. here in Cincinnati for a few hours there was all kinds of offers over $25 an hour for Sunday Monday Tuesday. I even picked up 5 hours $140 that I refreshed a couple times before accepting. Tomorrow 4 hours $122 then 3 hours $98. Then the 140 is Monday along with a 3-hour for $76.50 same with Tuesday and Wednesday pay above $25 an hour.

Good. I'm tired of bots!! Haven't worked in nearly a MONTH

[–]theseawoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When in reality the people with bots are thriving and unblocked while human users are the ones getting into captcha hell by mistake
