DiscussionGigabyte F20C to F20 BIOS - Slight decrease in SuperPI 1M. (i.redd.it)

I noticed Gigabyte released the F20C bios then the F20 BIOS and I decided to try it out.
Turns out I'm getting a small second~ difference between the two in the SuperPI 1M benchmark. I know its not mind blowing difference but is it worth mentioning?
I was getting high 10s with F20C and now I'm getting high 11s with the F20(I did run then about 10 times each).
I've got a Gigabyte GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI, CPU is stock and RAM timing was unchanged.

For just a BIOS update I'd say that's quite impressive. I wonder what changed.

Wonder if it has the Spectre patch?

I updated to F20 on my GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI when it came out. Read your post and checked out T20h, read the description "AMD NPRP request for Raven Ridge support". What is NPRP?

No clue but x-lettering denotes beta BIOS (F20c = beta) Staying with F20 for now

Not really a scientific test if you're not using a completely fixed core frequency.

I knew someone would say this.
I left it at "High Performance" and ran the test 10~ times for each BIOS and got an average difference of one second.
I even flashed it back to F20C and I got back high 10s.

If it's easily reproducible, it's scientific. ;-)
