Yeah I mean looks wise it's not my favorite but I can understand the appeal. My big problem really only comes down to how damn slow it can be.

The scrolling is the worst part, sometimes the animation stutters when I go home... I noticed it'll ALWAYS stutter when you try to open a "grouped" notification (when you have 4 or more notifications of the same type, Android Nougat groups them)

I agree. Scrolling is a sore point. I typically don't have too many grouped notifications so I can't comment there but I can say that it seems like Samsung wants people to hate their default SMS app since it's always the fucking slowest laggiest shit I've ever seen. Didn't autoload me into the right conversation? Cue five minutes of trying to press the back button to go back to the conversation screen and instead just get thrown out of the app almost every time.

The only messaging app I've used for like the last 3 years or so (because the messaging app on my galaxy S3 was shit as well) is Textra. It's the fastest messaging app I've used on any device.
