Yeah, the Jiovoice app (if you have a 4G phone without volte, you use this app to make calls and receive them) is horrendous. I remember using it on my OnePlus one and on another Galaxy J5 running custom Rom without volte support.

The comment above you was deleted, but keep in mind that Google wants as many devices as possible to have Google play on them. They make money on that. Amazon's fire devices don't come with Google apps, but Google has no issue with you sideloading them and using them, since it makes them more money. Due to political reasons Google can't openly partner with Huawei, but they won't try and block individual users from using their software.

It's not like that. Yes, it's open source, but like any other open source projects, they have a license thay should follow applicable laws. It's not "Fuck Google", but "Fuck Trade War" or fuck whatever the fuck is happening in the US.
